Thank you so much for everything, Xing. I'm asking you something without any obligation, and of course only if you feel like it and have time... would you dare to take on the Aqua Tower model in Chicago?
@@Magnitudx No worries at all! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have time in the near future to model Aqua, but I could do it within a month or two from now -- would that still fit your video schedule?
@@XiLin108 Yes, absolutely, and I'm really grateful, truly. I have it on my list, but it's not scheduled yet, so if you do it, there's no rush. Whenever it's ready, I'll make the video. Thank you, Xing.
From the beginning the master plan showed that each tower in some way was a callback to the Twin Towers. 4WTC represents simplicity and uninterrupted height, 3WTC with its exposed steel columns is a nod to the thousands of ironworkers behind the projects, 1WTC with its eight sides is a merging of the two towers. The only design that tries to honor the original WTC is the Diamonds design. Hopefully if Silverstein isn’t able to cinch a deal with American Express he just decides to build that original tower on spec.
Well said. Agree. Although, I would add the original 3 wtc design by Richard Rogers was a nod to the famous steel structure of the twin towers that made them so big, tall and strong to begin with, like the tridents that ran vertically all the way from the bottom to the top, to form the outer set of support columns for each other.
I absolutely loved the original slanted diamond shape design split into 4 parts. It reminded me of the originally named Smurfit Stone building (now Crain Communications building) in Chicago on Michigan Avenue and Randolph next to Millennium Park. Always have loved the look of that building, and WT2 would have taken that look to the next level. Skyscrapers are boring and no fun when they’re just blocks. I miss the unique ornamentation and style that a lot used to have.
From what I’ve been reading, most opinions align with yours. Personally, I also like the design, but I think the diamond shape should start at 1350 feet, not end at that height. As for the other point, I’m sure many of us classic enthusiasts miss certain designs.
In my opinion, they should have rebuilt the Twin Towers either the same as before, a new design, a twin for the current one wtc or better yet, the attack should have never happened in the first place. But here we are in 2024 and for awhile now, ever since i found out that 2wtc wouldn't be a twin to 1wtc back in 2005 was a disappointment to say the least, my faith in a possible twin to the current one wtc was low anyway and if this is what they wanted, it would have already have been built at this point. Can't really say i'm a fan of any of the designs for 2wtc but i suppose i will warm up to it in time once it's finally up.
Well, believe it or not, it's made with AI. After many attempts, I came across what I think is a great track. I think that trumpet, with its depth and cadence, is at a level I've only enjoyed from a few professionals. If you like it, I can upload it and give you a download link.

I feel like that is so stupid though why would they do that but somehow have the money to build over 6 billion dollars on 3 almost fully empty full residential buildings 😒
I don't care what they build or that they leave the space empty. Sure the existing towers look nice but nothing can replace the twin towers. I miss the old manhattan. I will die with my opinion
You mentioned sustainability and carbon footprint, and yet NYC approved the soaring pencils along billionaires row? How hypercritical. Another green space would be suitable, to reflect, not just another soaring mass.
The diamond shape tower was the best but this one looks interesting too
It looks outdated
Some beautiful animations there, great work again! My pleasure to share my model of 2WTC for this video.

Yes, just like Trump argued and endorsed back in 2005 to get the revival of America's spirit and greatness going.

So glad News Corp/ Fox News didn’t end up on the site
They should just stick with the original 2006 diamond design, it looked way more modern and also more respectful.
Wow nice
There’s been barely any progress on 5 wtc. It’s been approved, but not much is happening…
Are they gonna build it because it’s almost the end of 2024
Sadly the update straight from silverstein is it's on hold until they get the financial environment back on track
