@@BadTreeProductions Oh man, I see now. You have a carbed 460, you never did the switch to EFI (correct me if I’m wrong). That’s awesome. Saves me a whole lot of money and headache
@@_ben_friedman it's stock efi with a Holley tb
What is the exact part you used? Like a product code or something?
460efiguys.com/products/throttle-body/
@@BadTreeProductions Thank you. Does your truck also have an aftermarket EFI kit though? Thats where your gains are probably coming from if you have it.
Watch part 1
I get 10.5 AT BEST driving like a careful granny.
how many horsepower this truck have?
@Jeremy Hunt
What gear ratio does your truck have in the rearend?
They won't respond to emails, tried several times.
Sorry to hear that.
My 7.5 got 10 mpg so 16.8 seems unbelievable
Crazy ain't it
Was it all down hill😂@@BadTreeProductions
97 excab F250HD 7.5L I only average 9mpg... 😞
I want to know what gas the sky is running if it’s ethanol 10% which is the only thing you can buy or non-ethanol gas I’m in Texas there’s one place I can get non-ethanol gas engines weren’t meant for that 13 miles to the gallon on non ethanol or 8 miles to the gallon 10
@@jo1980e Non-ethanol was used for this test. Thanks Joe.
What year is your truck
1995
This is a gasoline truck not diesel...So why show us the Diesel Pump 3.4 gallon out of the diesel pump?
Might show us your speedometer and compare it to your Phone's "Speed Bot" App to confirm a accurate measurement. (Since your tires are bigger and maybe a gear change) But, your mileage is well with in reach.
It's a gas/diesel pump combo. 87 91 or diesel can be purchased from one location. Maybe it's an Iowa thing idk.
Speed bot app is a great idea 💡 👍
Awesome
Why did he show the read-out from the diesel pump?
Wtf. My 350 gets like 10! Perhaps its time to tune the old carb i guess.
After more stops and gathering data our truck gets 12 13 on a good day.
12.6 in my 95 xlt 150 5.8w
Lol my ranger with the 4.0 gets 12 if im lucky
What EFI are you using?
The one on the description. It's also on the thumbnail
Currently has the horrible factory multi port dump injection
Thier ain't no way
My 4runner gets 12
And it's slow
This actually real? Like seriously 🤣
Im sorry but I jus don't believe it.
Only if you stay off the foot spoon
This kit sucks. It actually flows less than stock and sucks in hot air. Not to mention its a dodge part so its very cheaply made. The tps on mine wasnt clocked properly so it wasnt registering wide open throttle. You also have to hack up your cruise control cables which are almost impossible to find nowadays. For over 600 dollars you are literally getting raped twice over if you buy this kit. Thanks for nothing russel. I have since yanked it off my truck. Sold it, and put the stock stuff back on.
Haven't had any problems on our end, sorry to hear about your misfortunes. 🍻
@@BadTreeProductionsglad to hear you are enjoying your stock 1997 dodge 1500 throttle body that you can buy online for less than 100 bucks. oh and the over 400 dollar twisted smog box when that was still available was just wires dead ended into silicone. The switch wasnt even attached to anything. It was a dummy switch. Thanks russel 👍
@_BALLIN_ thanks, have a great day 🍻
@@BadTreeProductions sorry dude I'm just butthurt because I wasted a bunch of money
That's not correct, no fucking way man 😏check your math
I call B.S.
Get a better truck, my 13 f150 get 19.5mpg in the city, and 21.5mpg on the highway.
You're totally missing the point you're trying to compare your little f150 to an 8000-pound f350 that was built in 1995 and was equipped with a 460-gas engine. The point is a fuel mileage improvement was realized after the installation of the 460 efi guys throttle body kit.
Yeah but it probably sounds like a kitten purring and can’t tow shit
Wait I thought you said you had a truck? But then you mentioned an F150...
Almost 17 mpg with 35s get a job
Hahahahahahaha
What gears do you have ?
4.10
Thank you
What are you running for exhaust?
Y pipe running into a 3 and a 1/2 inch glass pack out the side
