Thank you for putting the Hare and the Beaver side by side. I have the Hare and was considering the Beaver. But they’re fairly similar and I find the hole on the Beaver off putting. My favourite small fixed blade carry is a Viper Handy. I switched out the scout straps for a Mummert clip. I carry it inside the waistband. I was introduced to pocket fixed blades about 15 years ago. I bought one from Dawson Knives and carried it for years. Even though it was a small blade, I’d occasionally get snide remarks about carrying a knife since the handle stuck out of the pocket. I do my best to be discreet now.
I have a Civivi fixed blade knife that is set up for pocket carry. It's the Stormridge. Toco style sheath with a fantastic pushoff, installed an Ulticlip slim 3.3, and it works great. Very good video, G. Thanks. I forgot to say my carry for the day, Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Black S45VN blade and digital camo G10 scales as well as my Ferrum Forge Archbishop 3.0 with a stonewash CPM 20CV blade and blasted Titanium handle.
I carry a fixed blade and a slip joint. My favorites are the stoned goat from Montana knife co. Wasp from very good knife co, Kunwu stiffy P, and Vosteed mink with carol’s custom scales. I have a lot of folders and I like them I just like my fixed blades more.
Very interesting. I have picked up several different EDC fixies over the past few months to augment my cutting power as it were. I am finding I prefer the strength of a full tang blade for some tasks. At my size, my ESEE 6 or Junglas could be EDC but dang those silly laws. Hee hee. I am surprised how well though the Kizer Mini Harpoon 3V version fits comfortably in massive paws. I enjoy the precision cutting control it offers.
Wish i would use a fixed blade more.. there are some gems out there. Only time i carry one is clipped on the chest of my PFD while kayak fishing. Folders are just so much more convenient for me otherwise. Good.stuff dude!🎉🎉🎉
Living in Fla. carrying a fixie can be difficult if you prefer c.c. Everything prints. Not always wearing a belt, i.e. b-ball shorts. I find that appdx carry with an ulti clip works best.
I have about 10 fixed blades, but they are all camping/bushcraft oriented. I've been considering getting a small edc fixed blade, but the thought of also having to carry a sheath every day is mainly what's holding me back.
I'm not really into fixies. I have two, both selected for their small size and finger hole for safety of use: Kubey Hippocamp and Kizer Bowtie. I have no real need for carrying huge non-folding knife. Hippocamp has a taco kydex sheath I modded for stealthy 6 o'clock scout carry; I added a custom shaped strap with a press stud to keep it secure and prevent the finger hole from snatching on anything. Hippocamp is tiny, but kinda scary, it being a tall modified kiridashi. Bowtie I carry vertically on my belt at either 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock. I find it more ergonomic and less intimidating of the two, and the faux cast iron finish is really nice on that one.
I just added three Bradfords in the Guardian 3-3.2 series along with a Guardian 4 Sheepsfoot. I really like these for cross draw or on the hip carry. I've carried ESEE for years but it was time to branch out a bit.
I'm carrying one of a few Bugouts I own which is, in my humble opinion, the best EDC knife. But I'm itching for a small pocket fixed blade but I don't like the sheats which are too bulky. Also I'm a huge lanyard guy and lanyard is a great way to make a small knife easier to grab on.. Baby Banter is a great example
I'm pivoting toward getting a few fixed blades. Right now I'm feelin out the Sdokedc in DC53. Tactical steak knife. Next time I show up to a cookout, I'll be semi-prepared. Im looking at a few Brother Watchman fixies now.
Just came across a throwing knife/dagger? in S45VN with sheath with and Ulti-Clip for 21 dollars on amazonia. What are the chances any of that are legit? HN9 S45VN
I edc a Kizer baby but I think it might be on the softer side of about 58 so it could be better. Love the ergonomics and with an angled clip I carry deep in the pocket on my rural property mostly.
There are ALOT of choices for a fixed blade that fits in your pocket as just a dropper!!! The tops m.s.k 2.5 the tops street scalpel 2 the white river M1caper pro any of the minimalists.... the sea snake fits and i keep going.... SO MANY
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 you always have had great tastes in knives and other gear!!!i think that plus just how ya are is why I've always connected with your content!!!! Plus you always have dopeshit!!!!always....... !!!!! Love you big bro
So true! I've taught Ashley to try and keep them on her waistband. If it's sweat pants or leggings, you can find a sweet spot on there where you don't even notice it
And who the F is buying pants that your hand won't fit in???cuz it sure a shit isn't me!!!!... vertx 511 carhartt dickies Duluth......😂😂😂 i would love to know who's buying pants where the pockets only 4 inches deep!!!!

I’m a big fan of the belt clips that are offset towards the center of the sheath, but I also belt carry not pocket
Great info brother 👍🏻

The lil buddy is really popular 😆
I have a Kizer Baby fixie, and I have the Beaver on the way to me. I carry a fixed blade and a couple of folders with me as my edc.

So which ones will attach to molle webbing?
all of them will if your crafty enough. paracord them to your pack
you can go over top of it, under it. etc and it wont go anywhere. i reccomend a pancake sheath for a pack though. more anchor spots
Wish i had a use for fixed blades.
You could at least pretend
White river F.C 3.5 magnacut , white river ursus cub magnacut. Never like folders sooner or later they will break
Very nice 💯👍🏻💯
I would have one, but in Washington State, basically all fixed blades are illegal to carry (concealed). 😢
Absolutely Crazy
New Jersey they can consider it a dangerous knife which is a felony I had a Kizer harpoon and sold it loved that knife 😢
Absolutely crazy
I have carried a cold steel magnum tanto on my belt tucked in my pocket... get better pants ppl
Very nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have carried a Lionsteel H2 on my left side belt daily for a long time. I don't carry in my pocket. It's just unconfortable for me.
Great input brother! The more info out there for everyone the better
This will be the year i get a under 100 fixed blade... to many folders in 2024 😊
A good EDC fixie is a good idea
@GBall_Vision ya have just a elk ridge skinner and a ganzo 806 but I crave something as nice as some of my folders leaning towards esee
@@rcjoe406 esee is great I have a bunch. A good choice to for EDC would be the mink or Smolt. The Asher's too
the cvx80 looks slicey
The right clothes for EDC = Every Day Wear-y
Agreed 💯
Hey little buddy
Hey Gweg
tkell Taylors ridge tactile Bexar Benchmade Adira

Have you heard anything about when that Asher fixie is going on sale again. I’d loove one in 3v 🫨
They were supposed to be there late December. They should be any time now. Micarta handles to
