Yes low tyre pressures, if you know how traction control works, it works with the abs system and brakes a tyre that is detects is losing traction. On beach driving and very soft sand it’s pointless and just holds you up and you lose momentum. Traction control otherwise works brilliantly in other situations but if your trying to get up a soft sandy hill, turn it off
@@MUDDABRUDDAS oh yeah I know exactly how it works inside and out botanically and electronically. I know why it's better to have it off but I'm just saying that even when mine's on I get through it good
do you have cdl ?? as removing traction control on a discovery with no cdl makes no point also on the discovery 2a you turn traction control off by turning the engine off engage cdl then start engine this will disable traction control on a land rover discovery with factory cdl at least on my 2003 d2a
Great area there mate, lower the psi in the tires as well to about 15 psi for a larger tire "footprint", there is a video on yt with different psi's and what distance he gets in sand... I didn't knew back then about the tires and traction control turn off starting out and got bogged too😁 '05 lr3 se v8
Did you air down low your tires? I'm surprised mine does really well with the TC still on in that kind of stuff

You must have a V8, I’m a bit down on power with TD5 engine, every little bit of power helps, and if computer is braking tyres you really notice it
@@MUDDABRUDDAS oh you know what that's exactly right I have the 4.0
@@MUDDABRUDDAS yeah even that V8 could use some more. I would love to do an LS swap someday if I could afford it
Did you actually try getting up the slope WITH the fuse back in place hence TC on?
Nah, should’ve tried it, may of helped

Didn’t have CDL factory in mine, but put in a CDL kit.
So how did you get out??
Winchy boy
You’ll have to wait for video, couldn’t winch off anything
