- Second run, sorry about the boat not being in focus the whole time.
About a minute after I shut off the camera, I got it stuck in the middle on top of the ice. The ice was too thin to walk on and could not be reached from shore. luckily somehow the boat slid back into the water on its own a few minutes later.
Modifications include
Dual water inlet outlet
Billet motor sleeve
Castle 240 hydra hv
NEU 1415 1100kv
Zippy compact 4s 5800mah 60c run in series for 8s
Stock prop
13+ minute runtime and still didn't hit lipo cutoff
Gps 41.0 mph
Coming soon- 10s

Dude. You need a new prop. You have no idea how much faster your boat would be. You're sitting there spinning and the boats not going anywhere

I would be absolutely shocked if the electronics were any more than Luke warm being that the water temperatures probably 40 Max
if you balance the boat from front to back and side to side You won't believe the difference in handling.Also put it on a boat stand and look at it from a side view and adjust the boat on the stand where the shaft and pro are straight and that will be the angle of attack too much either way you will run too wet or too much lift and most of your prop trust will be keeping the boat out of the water and making it uncontrollable. 2 degrees is a start.

mr squirl. are you running 8 S with the stock flex shaft ? for this size boat that flexshaft is a joke ! most people brake it on 6 S
Yes it was stock, I even ran it on 10s, had no problems untill i upgraded to a bigger motor and then it broke on the first or second try....

@@secretsquirrel1942 mr squirl. Are you running it it in 8S with the stock 4 mm flrxshaft and stock plastic prop also ? any heat issues on the esc or motor after 5 -7 mins ?
how are you running 2 Four 4S if you're doing that then you are running 8s and your information says you hit 40 miles an hour on your GPS on my Spartan I Run 2 3 S so 6s and I'm hitting over 50 miles an hour so 8's should be faster than 6s so I'm not understanding your setup I'm just curious because I'm new to this so I was just wondering how all of this works
Somethings wrong with your boat on 8s. You need to figure it out cause it’s too slow for 8s.

I have a genesis on 4s that's 60mph + definitely have something going on that thing should RIP on 8s
I have a cheetah that goes 72 on 4s
And 3 boats that go over 100mph
This boat is 1100kv thats no diffrent then running 2200kv on 4s
This has less rpm then a stock spartan so its spot on for speed especially on the stock plastic prop.
i just converted my spartan to 8s. hardest part was finding a four pole motor with a relatively low kv rating because none of the low kv 6 pole motors would fit inside it
@lervis696969 I've since sold this boat but I think I ended up trying out a few leopard motors from OSE. They were affordable enough that I could test a couple out without going broke.
He needs a heavier prop and it seems like he hasn't switched to lipo mode, or the esc is shitting itself because of the 8s

i just did this upgrade and its a pricey one. you need a new esc that can handle up to 8s, a brushless motor that can handle the volts associated with 8s, and two 4s batteries. it all could easily run you about 400 bucks
all the parts you need can be purchased at most hobbyshops, but i ended up getting quite a few things from proboat that are actually stock components on their zelos 48 which is built to run on 8s

Was that really full throttle? My Traxx with 6S and octura prop is much faster. That means that the prop is more important than power, as real boats.
That sure looks like 4s not 8s. I think you put those in parallel than in series.
