This unit probably has dirty heads. So if you ever get another vcr that loses sync when fast forwarding and is very noisy then that’s the likely cause. In rare cases the tape path can be slightly misaligned although unlikely
Oh ok. I didn't even see that as an issue. But I very recently just started cleaning the heads on all the VCRs I sell whether I see an issue or not, since I know how to do it and it only takes a minute.
