Jessie, this is one of your best videos. I appreciate so much you showing us alternative luxury bags that are quality made and worth the money. I’m sick of seeing LV and Chanel everywhere ❤️
I am such a Tod’s fan , so glad to see you appreciating the quality of the brand. I think they’re historically renowned for their driving shoes so their age tend to be “cheaper”. The leather is insane - so so soft , buttery. It’s the best out of all the brands I own.
Fantastic video today Jess! Thanks for exploring non-mass market luxury. Much less boring, and better quality. Valextra, Ferragamo and Delvaux are all in my bag wardrobe.🥰
Azzedine Alaia makes great looking bags - distinctive, no visible logo but still classic. Their recently released heart bag apparently was quite popular. And actually, the heart mules as well.
Have you looked at Moynat bags, they are exquisite, the quality is comparable to Hermes and they are one of Frances oldest trunk/bag makers. Their bags are all hand made from start to finish by the one artisan. They have gorgeous designs, cute top handle bags and one that I would say is an alternative to the Hermes mini Kelly. I have one of these on my wish list. Pretty expensive though not as expensive as Hermes. Mel in Melbourne did a tour of them a while ago and also So Anesu does amazing videos of under the radar bags.
Hi Jess! Thanks for the video. Would you consider making a video about luxury brands that make their bags by hand and not machines? Seems like with how things r going these bags should be more appreciated than machine made bags.
Thank you for sharing Tod’s! They have beautiful pieces and they have outlets in the U.S.A. I am sure they have them located in other countries too. I just did a video about Tod’s I am scheduling to come out in April. I read an article about them reaching a Billion Euros in sales and now have a new creative director from Bottega. Love Ferragamo too. I think the classic Gancini style you featured is a great option for people after the Kelly style bags.
I absolutely live the under the radar luxury bags. They really scream luxury and only who knows knows. I have several LVs, Chanels, 1 YSL and I’m so over them with big logos plus everyone has them. Great video!
Jess! I just placed an order for the Diane top handle in 20cm in the slate grey. Had never heard of them until this video. I didn’t buy it because I’m looking for an “if you know…you know”. I just love the design. Especially that clasp. And I look forward to seeing the leather develop a patina. I have loud LV monogram bags, chanel classic flaps, goyard totes that everyone has, coach, Disney loungeflys, etc. If I like it, I want it. My bag should arrive some time in June. Thanks for introducing me to this new brand!
@@Jessiestyle I was saving for my first brand new Chanel medium flap bag (I only have older 2nd hand) in either the classic flap or the 2.55 but I went into the store and the quality didn’t seem worth it at these new prices. I’m no leather expert but even my YSL bag felt nicer. I will reach out when it arrives in a few months!
@@Jessiestyle btw, their digital manager asked me how I discovered their brand and I told them I learned from your channel and this video specifically. 😀
Yep, always loved Ferragamo's quality but couldn't quite find a bag I liked until the new CD came in. Saw the Spring 2023 runway show online and fell in love with the orange airbrushed top handle in the tiny rectangle form. I waited months for its release and finally got it after roaming all over Japan! Apparently they're rare in Asia and I just happened to have been vacationing there on the day it released.
@@Jessiestyle Haha, that's what a supposed Ferragamo SA told me online. I had gone to at least 5 different Ferragamo stores within Taiwan AND Japan and everyone said they didn't have it until the last Japan shop I visited said they'd get it in 2 days. (The Taiwan shop did say they could order it, but it'd take a month and I wasn't going to be there for that long.) I don't want to be responsible for another big purchase of yours but...... YES, I LOVE the orange to red gradient effect of the spring releases!
Carolina Herrera, the leather is amazing and just feels super classy. I like the Matryoshka Locked in the x-tra small. They don't have the color I want anymore, so searching for it pre-loved. They're also very affordable pre-loved. Great chain bags I'd rather have than Chanel, also love the Andy bags/Andy lock and nice SLGs. I don't know why more people don't talk about them, but makes them a bit more unique/special to me. Their "lipstick" shoulder bag is a great alternative to the LV Pochette Accessoires and nicer/better I think in person.
I just placed an order for my first ever Launer bag. I hope I will like it, I am a little nervous now. It will have my name engraved inside in golden letters, so I hope it will be amazing forever piece in my collection. I think they are reasonably priced for a made to order bags. Joseph Duclos is intriguing, but I am not a fan of that big gold plate going around plus the price is way too high for a bag with no resale value imho. Thanks for another great video Jess! xoxo
ooo thats exciting Elena! I do like how you can get creative with the colours! Let me know how you love it! I have never seen one in real life before! If i got to europe i will have a look out!
Awesome video, Jessie! Love the Tod's T Timeless Hobo and the Ferragamo Iconic Top Handle bag. That Joseph Duclos Fontélie bag is too beautiful, but you already know how I feel about it 😂💕
When I hear people say that Chanel may be increasing prices to position the company to sell to LVMH, I think that several brands on your list would be a much better addition to the LVMH portfolio... just imagine what could happen to some of these super high quality brands like Delvaux or Joseph Duclos with large-scale marketing. Either of those brands seem to me to be better positioned to give LVMH a shot at having a brand to compete with Hermes than Chanel does. Haha, not like LVMH asked for my opinion.😂
@@dva5610 - if you Google "who owns" and the name of these brands, you see that these are not the independant artisanal workshops their marketing might lead you to imagine. They're absolutely stunning bags, and if I had that kind of money to burn, I might. To me, it's a fascinating story.
So I went down a rabbit hole, I went on EBay just to see what a vintage Ferragamo bag goes for and I ended finding a vintage gray top handle with a strap for $145…next thing I know it’s in my cart, it doesn’t have the iconic buckle but says Ferragamo on it…I really need to get off RUclips 🤦🏾♀️

I refuse to buy LV bags. Launer just looks matronly. There is no real style to them. At least the Kelly has variation in the width so there is some shape shifting going on and the subtlety of the clasp etc. Launer? Nope I just think of church-going ladies who are extremely 'safe' and the different colours don't compensate it just looks awful. The alternative Joseph Duclos is excellent, the matte and the shape is stylish and modern. It will lift your outfit whereas I just think of goody goody with the Launer. Zero personality. As an alternative to the LV bag, cafuné's pendulum bag would give a similar vibe in a more understated way

My under the radar bag is my Proenza Schouler PS11 classic. She has no visible branding and I love her 😍
