The "character different from you" one is really interesting to me, because one of my favorite things about reading is finding characters that are similar to me. That feeling of "oh wow, this fictional person understands me perfectly and I'm not alone" is amazing, but it would be interesting to flip that upside down and see what happens.
Cinnamon Toast agreed!! i always smile when i relate to a character in a book. buuut on the other hand, it's such a blast to read about diverse characters too haha :)

I'm already excited for your Wonder Woman: Warbringer review!! 🎊 This year is my first Booktube-a-Thon and I'm so excited! I love seeing so many booktubers all come together to just read for a week! It's seriously so cool.
I loved Wonder Woman! It was such a great read. It has great female friendships, a decent amount of action, and some great character development. There's a couple of cheesy moments, but I still enjoyed those.
No matter the wreckage is absolutely gorgeous! She's one of my favorite poets! You'll definitely enjoy it :D

I've actually got three graphic novels on my BookTubeAThon TBR pile. I'm going to read Paper Girls, Through the Woods, and Perseopolis. I'm thinking of using Dear Ijeawele, A Short Introduction to Ancient Egypt, Furies, and Mrs Dalloway for my other picks. Hurray for short books for read-a-thons!

Yay for graphic novels! I'm participating and I'll try to manage posting vlogs everyday. I'm traveling from Spain to Sweden on the 25th so my biggest challenge is to avoid overweight but still bring all the books! 😁 Love Avatar TLA! would definitely want to get my hands on the comics😍 good luck and can't wait to see your vloggs!

6. Cogheart - Peter Bunzl (coverbuy)
7. Pokemon adventures #1(7 books)
I've picked 4 short books(91, 49, 114, 96) and a manga as I'm camping 5 of the 7 days of the booktube-a-thon :p
The other two (cogheart and six of crows) have a pretty decent amount of pages (538 and 362)
I cant make up my mind on my own tbr! Still very excited to participate and to have fun reading all week!

I've read No Matter Wreckage a few months ago and enjoyed it! Being this is my first Read-a-thon, I decided to choose a lot of short books. I chose two Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's short books about feminism and a graphic novel. I'm so excited!

thebookcarousel Ohhh picking a favorite episode is so hard because I love them all so much! But a few of my favorites are The Western Air Temple, The Tales of Ba Sing Se, Zuko Alone, The Crossroads of Destiny, and The Southern Raiders! There are so many more I love though! They're all so good!!!

The plot of Dear Martin sounds a bit like Monster by Walter Dean Myers, except the reader must decide guilty or not guilty in the book and the format is truly unique in that it is written like a screen play.

Dude. I have mad respect for graphic novels and I think visuals can add a lot to a story, but my high school librarian was so against them. When she talked about summer reading she said: "Even if you want to read the newspaper all summer, that's great. Probably not the best idea to read Manga all summer though."
I'll also be reading Persepolis. I'm surprised that you will not be reading Juniper Lemon's Happiness Index. The US hardcover has a person on it!

thatgeekybookchic I understand the feeling I used to be intimidated too, but once you see how many people participate and how it all brings us together, it's truly amazing! You just have to remember that it's just a week about reading and having fun, as long as you even read a single page, you've participated and you're successful!!!
