I broke down and bought a record player at the beginning of the pandemic. I was 18 in 1997 and all my favorite bands put out records but I preferred to buy things on formats that were portable. I used the first stimmy to support all the bands I had been basically stealing from by only subscribing to Spotify (I had four kids from 2005 to 2013, so it was a necessary theft). I bought all the Wye Oak records. But this new Flock of Dimes is becoming the first post-pandemic album I put on and flip and flip and flip and flip and flip and flip. Damn near perfect.
