    I became the more rebellious types because of this and how numb I’ve become to hearing “obey your parents” because of the traumatic abuse I’ve been through and my parents using that to justify what they are doing. I had to find Islam through actual knowledgeable people to reconnect with it

    This happened to my mother.
    My grandmother forced my mother to marry someone she didn't want to.
    When my mother wanted to leave the marriage due to domestic violence, my grandmother forced my mother to stay using the religious card of you have to listen to your mother.
    Reputation was valued more than the mental and physical safety of her own child.

    We don’t emphasise this issue and many people don’t understand what obeying the parents means. We need more awareness on this topic.

    May Allah save us from these hypocrites. This was done to me and my family by my mum's relatives. Then the same did not apply to other relatives or there own children. If I was to tell you you'd be shocked.

      Nothing wrong with luxury or super cars (even though most are money pits) but if he’s driving a Toyota or Honda or even a Lexus then he’s spending his money wisely on a vehicle which shows financial responsibility/maturity to an extent.

    That’s often the reason why young Muslims in the West stop practicing Islam. Because they are surrounded by other people, who are "nice" to them and call them to sin, while their own parents are harsh and tyrannical. Allah musta’aan. 😔

    • @Bhghih
      @Bhghih 3 месяца назад

      I dont agree. I feel that most muslims are simply lured into the fitnah and even many of the Muslims that come to the west already come with the mentality of becoming like the western people, "free", even if hidden sometimes. Just this last job I started I got this muslim brother (I'm not even sure it's adequate to say that) speaking bad about Islam all the time only to be appreciated by the western people. I'm western. So when he met me he even spoke worse about Islam and many Muslim nations and peoples. When I told him I am muslim he was shocked and silent. I was waiting for the right moment but he started going deep and lying and as I know if I don't correct him Im sinful, I told him I'm muslim and corrected his lies. Alhamdulillah this man has a good wife and she pressures him to invite me home because it's good company insha Allah. There's also another Muslim brother that used to drink with a non Muslim guy who is my neighbour and his entrance door is basically 10cm from mine. They invited me to drink. Remember I'm western so they don't know I'm muslim. I said I don't drink. Later he discovered I'm muslim and became super shy and doesn't drink with the other guy anymore nor comes by his house.
      Many Muslims behave with us westerners differently than with muslims. May Allah guide us and them and protect us and them from this humiliation

    Gabriel you discussing real issue nobody discuss
    these ways is wrong and oppressing and usually have big effect and bad and reverse effect.
    many young lead astray and struggle in life because bad examples and toxic culture they think that is Deen but in fact Deen is good
    but a lot of parent lead their kids astray
