I think it is important to notice that the family you will import in the rotation family must be a face based family. Otherwise you won't have the option to pick the line as working plane. At least this is what I notices, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm struggling to learn how to use Revit and make a family for scaffolding at the same time. I had to start over many times since I started it, but I won't give up because I usually find videos like this. Thanks a lot! Before I try this by myself, let me ask you. Is it possible to have 2 diferrent angles for 2 different objects in the same family and same place? Just for an better understanding, it's like a clockface and I want to choose an angle for the hour hand and another angle for the minute hand. Same axis, but the minute hand is placed some milimeters "above" the hour hand.
Awesome!!! In some cases when I place a model into this "flexible" file, my model is turned 90 degrees. It is like if your 5-angular polugon turned so it appears like a line in this normal view (3:50). Pick plane does not solve the issue. Is there other way to align placed model with a plane of this "flexible" sketch?
@@fabiosato2982 Already found a solution. For some models is neede to select perpendicular plane of the reference lines, instead of plane, colinear with a plane where the lines are drawn. TAB key helped to select them and solved the issue.
Perfect for what I need, Thank You!
Thank you very much, very helpful video!!!
Thank you, Fabio. Very helpful!

You are right, it should be in the video, but sorry if I missed that
@@fabiosato2982 no problem at all the solution you provide is great and is working perfectly. So thank you.
I just remembered, if you check Workplane Based, it will work similar to face based family

Can u please make video on GRP segment type elbows family creation for big size pipes from dn100 to Dn3000
@@fabiosato2982 I ticked the "work plane based", it still not working. I don't know how it works for other people.

If you use sweeps with profiles to create the extrusions, it is very easy
super
Awesome!!!

This problem never happened to me, if you can share the family for checking would be nice.
