Laenor's faked death was great for so many reasons.
Just happy he got to leave and be happy. Those who reach for the throne who lose die..... even tho who didnt even want it.
I want laenor to be at the stepstones holding it down for the blacks. And then they all meet again and he’s like sorry
The main twist for me was Viserys making it to episode 8 because he looked like he was going to die in literally each of the previous episodes.
Aemond: I consider it a fair exchange; I may have lost an eye. But I gained a dragon.
Also Aemond: GIVE ME YOUR EYE! GIVE ME YOUR EYE, BASTARD!
So much for accepting it as a fair exchange...🤣
Not even a dragon can compensate for a loss of sight
XD I thought about the same thing in the last episode
I think he was mostly trying to mess with him when he said that stuff. It was obvious after Vhagar chomped Arrax and Luke that Aemond knew he took things too far
@@wynonasbigbrowndragon6121but then didn't he kind of smile afterwards though like he was happy even though his dragon disobeyed him
@aliciasimmons8473 I re-watched that scene quite a few times. Until that point, Aemond was an irredeemably terrible person for me. I thought it was really cool how the ABSENCE of a smile added such a layer of depth to his character. His facial expression after that incident made him more complex and less shitty
I don't know if it counts as a twist, but watching Viserys in ep. 8, limping his way to the Iron Throne, was a twist for me. Like, nobody expected him and he took over the whole room with his entrance
That was pretty cool!
I’d count that as a twist, really cool moment. You can just feel his presence when he walks in
I had such a hard time taking king viserys serious because I kept picturing him as the guy from hot fuzz. That scene where he walks to the throne absolutely won me over. That scene was legendary.
I ❤that scene
That was a very powerful scene as bad off as he was to stand up for his daughter and still command a room like that
Number 1: Daemon aged in haircuts
He is only 5 years younger then Viserys. I think they did on purpose to show his wear and tear of being king 😂😂
@@douglasrodrigues180 it's because he has a disease, wasn't about being a king...
Number 1: all kids are grown up but ser criston cole never aged a day.
My top twists: While Ser Otto is the hand, Larys is the Feet. Laenor's "death" was awesome and a complete twist for us who read Fire & Blood.
And it also helps the characters of Daemon and Rhanyera.
"Whatever you wanna call it" lol , that makes sense
I honestly would've loved to see more of the crab feeder. He looked like a very interesting villain/antagonist.
The part where Aemond says it's "Dragon time!!" Right as he kills lord strong
Laenor and Qarl prancing about Essos like a pair of Chulibs makes me laugh😆😆
House of the Dragon revived Game of Thrones, D & D Should never touch this Intellectual Property ever again.
Yeah they should be in a different career like cutting grass or something cuz they cant write for sht
I think Vaemond getting his head sliced in half in court was the most shocking thing I have seen on Thrones in total.
The Rains of Castamere would like a word.
Oberyn Martell's head would like a word.
Great Sept of Baelor would like a word.
Saw hat chi a mile away with Daemon standing in the hall… also Jamie’s sword hand would like a word.
'he can keep his tongue' is a line that i will never forget. badass daemon!
I miss Harwin Strong. :(
dont forget to mention that Viserys wife was already going to die he didnt sacrifice her, he tried to save the baby.
But she died brutally
Was just watching top GOT twists and this video's notification popped up. Thank you for the video, never been this early to your videos.
What everybody favourite dragon 🐉? Mine is vhagar and caraxes as well as sea smoke
I think they did a pretty gr8 job with this season ..can't wait to see where season 2 takes us
Overall I'm happy with this installment of got so much so I'll watch season 1 of hotd again during our long winters here in upstate new york I've picked a favorite character and I'm team rhaenyra, season 2 is a year or more away unfortunately , hey season 2 of white lotus is coming soon, thank you Jennifer Coolidge
Where upstate are you? I'm in ny too lol
Upstate NY as well!!! Team Black all the way!!
I enjoyed Season 1. I give it a pretty good rating minus a couple things here and there obv. Started a little slow. But had me invested around Ep 4. Really good episode. Ep 5 hooked me in completely. It's the turning point of the season. Ep 8 and Ep 7 are the two best respectively. 8 was peak GoT. 7 was very Shakespearean. Ep 9 to me is the most underrated cause it's a "You Win or You Die" political intrigue episode marred by three mins of a "Beyond the Wall" ending. Ep 3 to me is the most overrated cause ppl loved it too much for it basically being a MCU movie feat. King of the Sigmas and Crabfeeders. 1=mid, 2=decent, 3=overrated, 4=very good, 5=excellent, 6=good, 7=2nd best, 8=best, 9=underrated, 10=very good.
They kinda did a bad job with young Aemon accepting his eye for the dragon compared to older Aemon who still holds a grudge about it
His character in the book is described as “unforgiving.” I think it’s an implied lie. He didn’t actually forgive him.
I had similar thoughts.
@@muffin.does1 I took it as him not wanting his mother fighting for him. He wanted his own revenge for it (even if he did deserve it).
*How to destroy your franchise: Rings of Power.*
*How to redeem your franchise: House of the Dragon.*
I'm curious if we will ever see Laenor again. I get his presence would technically make Rhaenyra and Daemon's marriage invalid, but I wish Rhaenys would get to find out her son is still alive before she dies
literally none of these are plot twists it’s just note-able moments 🤣
i know drogon was able to locate Danearys even how far she is. can seasmoke find Leanor now that he didnt want to be find?
Actually visarys did not sacrifice his wife the choice was either they both die or she dies and the baby has a chance at life
Actually, Alicent is a little older than Rhaenyra
No, thanks though
What is the best thing about House of the Dragon? Is it exciting and worth watching?
The suspense to see how a civil war breaks out
Absolutely watch it. Brink of targaryen annihilation
don't. it's kicking you emotionally.
I completely forgot about the crab feeder storyline lol
Can you do top 10 facts about Marvel's Chronopolis?
Laenor is going to pull a Gendry on that boat lol
How stupid is Arrax? Duhhh, gonna breathe fire at a dragon 10x bigger than me and totally ignore my rider.
These are not twists they’re just plot points
Anyone observed 5:17 CGI
I love Laenor but marrying him was the biggest mistake Rhaenyra ever made.
I'm still trying to figure out why people think Daemon startled his wife's horse. Nothing about that incident looked intentional. Now, the rock to the face was, and quite frankly, did both of them a favor. But what preceded that was an obvious accident. The defense rests!
A pretty silly scene, imo... just barely waving your arms in a trained horse's face probably wouldn't make it rear up and try to do a back flip...
Horse probably.
"OH SHIT HE SMELLS LIKE A DRAGON*
🐎
I am not sure any of these are actual twists
Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Cassie Lang as Stature and Stinger?
Loser spammer
Drago dinner
Allicent isnt the same age, she's nine years her senior
in the books, yes, but in the show, they are the same age.
the song of ice and fire plot twist was stupid
haha Aegon must've mistook Bran and Arya for Targariyans. S08 was such sh*t show
I'm posible
I hate to break it to you, but I think Laenor's story is done.
Hello
Goodbye
first
Can you count
I'm always first to make a comment
He was gay leanor
My least favorite part about this show is the incest. Its a bit much and gets drawn out for too long.
When are people going to realize their dragons are actually wyverns
Laenor faking his death had a ton of implications no one really wants to go into. Basically, he destroyed his family, destroyed his wife, got the Strongs wiped out, and left his mother emotionally decimated, all so he could run off and hang out with his boyfriend. Oh yeah, and all of this kicked off a world war. Good move there Laenor 👍
That's your perspective, doesn't mean its the only truth and it's strongly biased my friend
@@remedyrenders5746 Biased how? Rhaenyra had the same choice to make, and made the opposite choice to save her family and her kingdom. What gives Lenny a pass?
"the things we do for love"
