So this list is basically just 4 Leeroy Jenkins references, 2 mmorpg references and 1 actual WoW reference? Fire whoever did this list - please. They did a shitty job.
"video games are becoming more and more of a household presence." I think you're a bit late on that observation, the biggest part of that shift was years ago.
The 80's? No. More like 4-5 years ago. Yeah the 80's is when a good bit of people started to understood that it was "Ok' or "cool" to play games. But a lot of stuff was considered nerdy until a few years ago. If you played WoW or Zelda or anything really you'd be called a nerd by a LOT of people. You may not have encountered these people, but as someone that's been playing games and been on the internet for over 10 years, I can say it's true. Not until a lot of big games like Minecraft, newer COD's, Battlefield, Skyrim, Fallout, League of legends, etc came out, was it seen as a normal thing. Now people play these games and are considered cool or that they're doing what is now the "Norm". Video games have only been widely/globally accepted in the past few years.
Rieiid Not really. Home video games hit the market pretty hard in the late 80s to early 90s, before that video games were already becoming socially acceptable via arcades. People weren't really labeled as nerds simply for playing video games, unlike many other activities. Sure, it wasn't until about seven or eight years ago that you could find a console in almost every home, but they were still fairly widespread.
+demonpride1975 they should've gone for that then or aswell when they were talking about the spray painting on the walls, i mean she was even in the shot, kinda of a hit and miss there on their end.
after the first two leeroy jenkins "referenced" i stopped counting them. then there were two "references to wow" with the MMORPGs. WoW isnt the only mmorpg. so not really a wow reference and the south park episode wasnt a reference because its an episode about warcraft itself
Let them milk the viewes since the movie came out. We`ll see a lot of videos with WoW in the title no matter if there is 10% WoW in them. Its how youtube works.
I didnt saw one leeroy reference. Just bencause guys charging onto each other it is not a reference. Blizzard as far as i know also steted that they wanted to reference him but then decides to exclude Leeroy :O
KriminalisDK you are acting like im Defending her... if anything i just dispelled the entire illusion of this shitty channel and shammed it for grabing extra subs cause stupid ppl this its a nerd girl.
The only reason to title this "World of Warcraft references" is because you had 7 Leroy Jenkins references and ONE actual reference to the game. Others were largely inspired by Runescape, Dungeons and Dragons, with others.
Dai The Assassin I can see that for when it shows everyone as their characters, but when it shows them at the desk with the game on their computer screen, it looks more like UO or Runescape.
Heather Yeager I can't relate it to Ultima, I can see EverQuest because of the name. Runescape definitely has a resemblance. I see DDO because it slightly shows the game play resemblance slightly, it's also because of the character creation screen.
All the WOW characters in the southpark episode were the actual Blizzard and South Park employee's characters. Funny enough the private server they were filming on actually got hacked and a random person was running around trying to kill them all while they filmed, just like the episode portrays.
earthland realms was also an everquest reference. Her (marge) addiction to it even mirrors the addiction people had when it came out. It was called evercrack ffs.
Technically the second was just D&D online reference that *could* be confused with WoW by plebeians. And by plebeians I mean idiots who don't do their research (I did a quick search on google to find it was a D&D Online reference)
maybe you could have done more than focus half the list on leeroy references. however who here didnt immediately guess what number one was going to be.
Not sure about everyone in the comments; however, I would like to elaborate on my issue with this list. 1) The Simpsons episode is clearly referencing an MMORPG; however, it seems less WoW and more Everquest. 2) The American Dad episode Dungeons and Wagons is referencing Dungeons and Dragons, not WoW. Comparing D&D to WoW isn't a huge stretch, but that brings us to... 3) Most of this list consists of hard stretching. Obviously South Park made #1 as it is only definitive WoW reference without reaching for Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy Jenkins!
My wording is perfectly fine there, buddy. You said its loosely based on the warcraft multiverse? How is it loosely based when there are more things that stay the same than there are changed things? You bash me for not being able to use the word 'some' properly and yet you have problems with what the word 'loosely' means.Nopiw
"South Park" was definitely the first show that came to mind because the Warcraft episode has always been one of my favorite episodes of all time despite the fact that I don't actually play the game. :D
The first 3 or 4 were all Leeroy references, and the others were like "Well, they used MMO material so it's a WoW reference!". Everyone knew South park would be #1 though.
I’ve never played much Warcraft but one time I was 8 and my dad got me reign of chaos and this was the time I had no internet so I always played with bots and the story and gosh I fell in love the way Arthas becomes evil and how the orcs, humans, and elves work together to fight the undead is just...i was in awe
1: Leeroy jenkins isn't a wow reference, in first place he isn't part of the game, he was just a normal player. 2: American dad and the simpsons, weren't "referencing" wow, those episodes are actually parodie about mmorpg and they look more like runescape than wow 3: South park isn't actually a reference, because is technically a parody about wow, they weren't making references about this one, they were using the game on a parody. This top is a stupid thing, and i hate myself for waste my time here.
he was never a normal player the leeroy clip is staged. and when you reference a game you do not need to reference a blizzard a employee or blizzard made part of the game the community made stuff is very much part of the game it is after all an mmo
Yup, this really should of been a Top Leeroy Jenkins references. There are a bunch of people who know Leeroy as a meme without knowing it's connection to WoW. It sort of became it's own thing after a while, the "thing you say as you run blindly into conflict, to the bewilderment of those around you."
I freaking love that episode of South Park! Hands down, one of my most favorite! That, and Good Times with Weapons. I'm happy to see ChannelFrederator included it in this list (and that it took the #1 spot!)
The Token Black but that wasnt my question. i want to know whether they are being paid by the creators of the movie to make this video. If so, it's actually illegal for how little disclosure they have made. That's why I ask.
Justice League War, Shazam says to Darkseid "Hey BlackHearttheDeathEater or whatever your World of Warcraft name is, suck on this!" while trying to impress Wonder Woman
Rofl, bronies are "some of the most creative and passionate fans in the world"? You mean the most messed up and obsessive. Also if you're trying to ride the Warcraft movie bandwagon, you'll be pleased to know that the movie is an adaptation of the first RTS game, not WoW, so you failed.
the funny thing about the Leeroy Jenkins skit, if anyone who knew anything about wow listened to their conversation, they would realize that plan was doomed to begin with.
It should be noted that in the Phineas & Ferb reference, Phineas specifically uses the phrase "use his Intimidating Shout to scatter them," which is directly lifted from the Leroy Jenkins video.
Wow, glad for this, I've heard of Leeroy Jenkins but didn't know exactly who he was until now. As for my fave, South Park, no question. Just the best done, great story and the line: How can you kill that which has no life? Had me and another WoW gamer (at the time) just rolling on the floor (Yes, I'll say it out in full) It's that good.
The episode name for the South Park episode is called “make love not Warcraft” which is an achievement added when Achievements were added during wow 2nd expansion.
Hey i have thought of the greatest theory ever: the professor from futurama is a timelord He has created a box that is bigger on the inside because it contains a different dimension, like the tardis. He can also travel in time which even the nibblonians can't do. He is also older than possible, only goes by a title, the professor, and he is smarter than any one else. The only thing that talk against the theory is the fact he has similar dna as Fry. It is however possible that he just like the doctor have sealed his timelord soul in a clock and has taken the identity as professor farnsworth
The Doctor is also known as John Smith. He had a family before leaving Gallifrey. He even has a clone daughter traveling the universe. The Doctor and The Professor share many similarities.
in the southpark reference , there is another reference to said episode ingame, with a lootable weapon in a raiddungeon, teh model of the sword of is sued and has a writign on it "mentioning predictet by salzmen"
I remember one episode of Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy the principal of their school referenced WoW and you can see his character in the screen fighting a murloc.
My Steven Universe Theory- Are the Diamonds Fusions? The reason why I think this is because as far as we know the Diamonds are giant like Yellow Diamond. But your probably thinking to yourself " But they can't be because Fusions have extra body parts" well it could be because the Diamonds are made up of smaller Diamonds just like how fusing multiple Rubies just gives you a bigger Ruby. Now we haven't seen White Diamond or Pink Diamond yet but what if Rose Quartz was a part of Pink Diamond as a part of fusion? I feel that maybe Diamonds were picked on and abused because of there uselessness by themselves and they fused and became giant Diamonds and took over Homeworld. But there's two small holes in this theory 1 being that Rose isn't a Diamond she's a Quartz. Maybe Pink Diamonds were nearly extinct because of Gems abusing them and the remaining Pink Diamonds decide to settle for a Quartz? And 2 being when the Rubies fuse you can see each Ruby's Gemstones and Yellow Diamond only has one Gemstone'' But look closely and you'll see 2 diamond shape Pupils in her eyes, There not Gemstones but there are 3 Diamonds on her
7 leeroy jenkins references.
LEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOYYYYYY JENKINSSSSSS
Now, I yonder what else is there.
+NinjaKatti sorry you what?
+Neptun Yonder What other Cartoon references there are to WoW that aren't Leeroy Jenkins
NinjaKatti oh I thought you said my name
So this list is basically just 4 Leeroy Jenkins references, 2 mmorpg references and 1 actual WoW reference? Fire whoever did this list - please. They did a shitty job.
Yeah!
I can only agree
trur story
Leeroy Jenkins is a big enough thing that: Leroy reference =\= wow reference.
South park isn't a reference, is actually a parody.
4 Best Leeroy Jenkins Cartoon References (Plus Three Other WoW References...).
100th thumbs up and times up, let's do this, LEEROY JENKINS!
2 others*
emm... some of does were actually dungeons & dragons, Runescape and other online games. 2.3/5
7.8/10
to much incorrect information
Especially the American Dad one. It was obviously D&D.
Ah those games were wow clones anyway....
(Insert geek fanboy laugh here.)
Miroslav Radev *geek fanboy laugh*
D&D wasn't a WoW clone, it came out before WoW
"video games are becoming more and more of a household presence." I think you're a bit late on that observation, the biggest part of that shift was years ago.
Yeah like the 80's.
Karl Chiasson Aye.
The 80's? No. More like 4-5 years ago. Yeah the 80's is when a good bit of people started to understood that it was "Ok' or "cool" to play games. I was thinking the same thing
I don't usually do this but whoever did this list, please fire or at least not let them do a list ever again without more research.
Who ever made this list got rekt
elaborate ?
you do realize that the female in rek-it-ralph. from the space game. her name is actually jenkins.
+demonpride1975 they should've gone for that then or aswell when they were talking about the spray painting on the walls, i mean she was even in the shot, kinda of a hit and miss there on their end.
ForemostCrab7
i think some of it is just reaching to be honest.
after the first two leeroy jenkins "referenced" i stopped counting them. then there were two "references to wow" with the MMORPGs. WoW isnt the only mmorpg. so not really a wow reference and the south park episode wasnt a reference because its an episode about warcraft itself
yeah, it was mostly Leeroy Jenkins references...

Dev Lightning Yeah, the #2 was dnd and #3 looked more like everquest
"we're so excited to see the warcraft movie" What a monotone voice for being excited!
shes reading a script that she didnt write... so its expected.
still atleast put some sorta emotion into it.
Lol maybe she should do something else then. Probably the worst arguement in the history of life
KriminalisDK
you are acting like im Defending her... if anything i just dispelled the entire illusion of this shitty channel and shammed it for grabing extra subs cause stupid ppl this its a nerd girl.
DukeApples Ok, my bad read it the wrong way then. Because you seem to be spot on..
I knew South Park was going to be #1 probably one of the funniest episodes.
Ahri, I love your new shades girl.
I also agree with your comment. =)
Spoiler alert lol
Me too
+Super NachoMan and thats why you dont read comments before watching a video.
Sooooo generic MMO settings = Warcraft reference?
Do I play WoW if I play hearth stone
In a round about way, I mean the full title of Hearthstone is "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft".
Elder scrolls online
Right? God, must have been scraping the bottom of the barrel between the MMO = WoW and all the leeroy crap
annoys me too when people will just call a setting the most known entity that takes place in it
like fallout for nuke-apocalypse
Wait.... 4 out of 7 are Leeroy Jenkins references? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
LEEeEEEEEEEEEEEROY ist just awesome :) Thats why!
Leeroy Jenkins. Everybody's favorite Suicidal Paladin.
The only reason to title this "World of Warcraft references" is because you had 7 Leroy Jenkins references and ONE actual reference to the game. Others were largely inspired by Runescape, Dungeons and Dragons, with others.
Niki's(the host) voice needs to be more energetic.
Yeah i noticed that...
she is probably shy. you think she can just change that
Then why host a show to begin with?
>even my dad knows who leeroy jenkins is
>this is word for word from Leeroy Jenkins's famous words, alright chums
>alright chums
?????
"7 best Leeroy Jenkins references"
Leeroy Jenkins: LLEEEEERROOOYYY JEEEENNNKKIIINNNSSS!
Some random guild member: Oh my god he just jumped in.
Earthland Realms seemed more Everquesty than WoW like to me. And dungeon scuffle reminded me a little more of UO.
Dungeon scuffle reminds me of DDO.
Heather Yeager Actually now that you think of it, it does resemble Ultima.
i have to say i agree. most of this was just reaching.
All the WOW characters in the southpark episode were the actual Blizzard and South Park employee's characters. Funny enough the private server they were filming on actually got hacked and a random person was running around trying to kill them all while they filmed, just like the episode portrays.
That's funny because they used machinama to make the episode and didn't actually play the game.
That's funny cause the directors commentary of the episode they say exactly what I said in the first post that they did.
Stan's character has the Frostwolf tabard, which was Horde only. So it's probably done with model viewer or something.
4 Leroy Jenkins references and 3 episodes based on WoW.
I was about to say the exact same thing! :P
2 of them are "wow references" because the episode contained fantasy mmo animations. and 1 episode PURE wow, no reference. just the god damn thing.
ya these guys are retarded
#3 is EverQuest, #2 is DnD, not WoW. It's like saying the Cavern of Creepers in Borderlands 2 is a reference to Roblox. Bad list.
3:30 minutes in and I'm thinking this would have been more appropriately titled "7 Best Leeroy Jenkins Cartoon Reference".
these were all quite bad references and 1 wasnt even a reference
Technically it is a reference. But I agree, Shitty list. They're all Leeroy Jenkins references too anyways lmao
earthland realms was also an everquest reference. Her (marge) addiction to it even mirrors the addiction people had when it came out. It was called evercrack ffs.
Yea, it wasn't just one that wasn't a WoW reference, it was two... It was Everquest and Runescape for those two.
the Cleveland show where rallo screamed out the name LEEROY JENKINS!!!
Personally I don't see the Simpsons episode as a World of Warcraft reference any more than a nod to MMORPGs in general.
"Okay, you go over there, I'll distra-"
"Alright chums, let's do this!"
LEEEEEEROOOOOOOYYYY
JENKIIIIINS
5 out of the 7 were just about Leeroy, not much of a list...
"video games are becoming more and more of a household presence" LOL
They should have just made this whole list about Leroy Jenkins.
But really they should have limited it to 1 Leroy or combine them
top 4 Leroy Jenkins references in cartoons, followed by 3 WoW references in cartoons. :P
yea that is kinda bull
Technically the second was just D&D online reference that *could* be confused with WoW by plebeians. And by plebeians I mean idiots who don't do their research (I did a quick search on google to find it was a D&D Online reference)
+Leon Mercury But in the computer is the Warcraft RTS Interfaces
Technically the second was made for DnD and WoW as it uses bits of both in its references.
"Make love, not warcraft" is also an in game achivement, making south park episode better.
/love an enemy before they die, been trying ages to ge that achieve
"But I play Hello Kitty island adventure." I LOVED THAT SOUTH PARK EPISODE
I think it's more like top 7 Leeroy Jenkins references in pop culture
maybe you could have done more than focus half the list on leeroy references. however who here didnt immediately guess what number one was going to be.
Not sure about everyone in the comments; however, I would like to elaborate on my issue with this list.
1) The Simpsons episode is clearly referencing an MMORPG; however, it seems less WoW and more Everquest.

Mission Hill had an episode with a MMORG in it that was pretty good. Kim Possible, too.
Top 7 best leroy jenkins references ._.
"Make Love Not Warcraft" was brilliant. Could watch it forever!!
The Warcraft movie isn't based on WoW it's based on Warcraft 1,2, and 3
more like on the first game only
more like the novels..
its in alternate universe, but based on first game
+Nopiw not loosely. It is an adaption of the first game and some books. Of course they have taking some liberties since its an adaption.
Narrator seemed absolutely disinterested in what she was reading.
"Passionate and creative." Creepy! You forgot to add creepy...
i thought leery jerkin's line was times up, let's do this!
Talking about what the actual player Leeroy Jenkins said to his guild mates, not the character Blizzard created to celebrate that viral video.
The first 3 or 4 were all Leeroy references, and the others were like "Well, they used MMO material so it's a WoW reference!".
Everyone knew South park would be #1 though.
You should maybe have added to the MLP part "... ,creative and cringiest fans in the world right now"
WAS THAT AN INSULT CUZ I WILL GATHER MY TROOPS AND WE SHALL KEEEELL; YOOOO!! XD but it better not be an insult.................
Leroy Jenkins is a fan joke...
We've got our doomhammers ready? Okay?
Kind of wish most of them weren't Leroy Jenkins.
"MOM .. bathroom .. BATHROOM!!"
4/7 were leeroy references, pretty bad excuse for a video
Conspiracy Idea: In the Life with Loopy cartoons on Kablam, could Larry be the REAL loopy one?
You used one of Nobbel's videos and didn't give credit. Hella fucked up
I heard the new Warcraft movie was going to have a few references. I'll be on the look out for them.
isnt the american dad episode a reference to dungeons and dragons not warcraft
i know d&d is a board game, but the episode alludes to it more than warcraft in any way
IKR, though the layout of the UI kinda reminds me of Diablo.
D&D is a pen and paper RPG put out by TSR way back in the day so not a board game as there were no boards involved . just pen paper and the D20 system
+lonesomepoetxi what would it be classified as then?
+xmaster tabletop p&p rpg
Can you get someone who sounds more bored next video? I love when narrators are catatonic.
1: Leeroy jenkins isn't a wow reference, in first place he isn't part of the game, he was just a normal player.
2: American dad and the simpsons, weren't "referencing" wow, those episodes are actually parodie about mmorpg and they look more like runescape than wow
3: South park isn't actually a reference, because is technically a parody about wow, they weren't making references about this one, they were using the game on a parody.
This top is a stupid thing, and i hate myself for waste my time here.
he was never a normal player the leeroy clip is staged. and when you reference a game you do not need to reference a blizzard a employee or blizzard made part of the game the community made stuff is very much part of the game it is after all an mmo
"Leeroy jenkins isnt a wow reference"
Ya... it kinda is 🤦🏻♀️
Alright ponies, LET'S DO THIS!
LEEEEEEEEEEEEEROY! JENKINS!
Anyone else new south park would be number 1 before even clicking on the vid?
OK chumps lets do this!!!! LEROOOOOOOOY JENKKKKYNS
thanx for ruining Laughing Skull.
video starts with bronies
Im out of here
Yeah for real
Triggered! Triggered!
Seriously... They do know that Leeroy guy didn't invent the term "Let's do this", right?
Stephon Zeno How is that of any relevance? We are not triggered by bronies inventing something, but by them being at the first place in this list
Just Petrusion
Well I've seen the episode they were talking about, and that's what that character says, so it has much relevance.
Yup, this really should of been a Top Leeroy Jenkins references.
There are a bunch of people who know Leeroy as a meme without knowing it's connection to WoW. It sort of became it's own thing after a while, the "thing you say as you run blindly into conflict, to the bewilderment of those around you."
ive played WoW since 2004 the day it came out
mymixtape is lit same
Leeroy Jenkins has become a battle cry for MMORPG players. Yelling it is tradition in my guild in SWTOR
yeah, because normies only know of leroy because that one video went viral "hahah i know world of warcraft reference xDDD"
*clicks on video*
"My little p--"
*dislikes video and clicks off video*
hey, how about 107 warcraft facts
Oh god no, the would mess up so many pronunciations., it wouldn't even be funny.
it already exists
NOOOOO!!!!
Michael Bowman ?
All 107 facts LEEEEEEEEEEEROYYYYYY JENKINS
I freaking love that episode of South Park! Hands down, one of my most favorite! That, and Good Times with Weapons. I'm happy to see ChannelFrederator included it in this list (and that it took the #1 spot!)
is this an ad?
Yes and no it's to ride on popularity of a new piece media so that they can gain more views/subs from wow fans
thought the same thing at first.
Why are you talking so slow? Also too much Leroy I'm sure if you do more research you can find more.
"excited for the Warcraft movie?" Yeah! 'then looks up reviews' awww nuts
I just hate how insincere this chick is.
The SP episode is still my favorite episode of all time! I have that one ready to play on my PC anytime I get the itch to watch it!
This should be called "7 Best Leeroy Jenkens References"
This should have been 7 Best Leeroy Jenkins Cartoon References
I was doing black wing lair while that episode aired and we took a 30 min break to watch it, best raid ever.
I just realized that the last 3 cartoons are famous cartoons for "older audiances"
the title should be 7 Best LEEEEROOOOY jeeeenkiiiiins references in cartoons.
the funny thing about the Leeroy Jenkins skit, if anyone who knew anything about wow listened to their conversation, they would realize that plan was doomed to begin with.
The best marketing ploy of the world!
Having Met Lauren Faust backstage at Babscon, I can say, this is intention in MLP.
It should be noted that in the Phineas & Ferb reference, Phineas specifically uses the phrase "use his Intimidating Shout to scatter them," which is directly lifted from the Leroy Jenkins video.
or Skyrim's Fus Roh Dah
Intimidating Shout and Fus Roh Dah aren't the same.
^^ My bad, I didn't notice he was quoting.
Make Love Not Warcraft is what got me into WoW in the first place.
this should have been titled "7 Best Leeroy Jenkins Cartoon References"
Make love not war craft was the reason that I started playing, and I've never looked back
that's my favorite episode of southpark :)
Wow, glad for this, I've heard of Leeroy Jenkins but didn't know exactly who he was until now.
As for my fave, South Park, no question. Just the best done, great story and the line: How can you kill that which has no life? Had me and another WoW gamer (at the time) just rolling on the floor (Yes, I'll say it out in full) It's that good.
how is it even possible to think the american dad on for wow when the episode is called "Dungeons and wagons"
THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER
level up does have a character that says"Leroy Jenkins" all the time right after he says "let's do this" in any battle
Why name this episode 7 Best References of Leeroy Jenkins! hahaha!😂
I think they mislabelled the video, here's what it should have been called: Top 4 Leeroy Jenkins references + some vague ones to wow
Consoles where common in household's wayy before then, what kind of statement even was that🤣
Just call this what it is: Top Leeroy Jenkins References in Media.
The episode name for the South Park episode is called “make love not Warcraft” which is an achievement added when Achievements were added during wow 2nd expansion.

The Doctor is also known as John Smith. He had a family before leaving Gallifrey. He even has a clone daughter traveling the universe. The Doctor and The Professor share many similarities.
'Make Love Not Warcraft' made me wanna play WoW, and to this day, I'm a huge fan!
