Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is so good. The innate goodness of Diana shines in this new issue. The battle with The Tetracide was amazingly drawn, and the unique layout panelling from Hayden Sherman continues to elevate this series. Kelly Thompson is really crafting an amazing Wonder Woman story. So excited for issue #4.
To be honest, I only read the first issue online and decided I wasn't going to devote my time to another "Dark" Wonder Woman (of which I've any seen many of them come and go like The Flashpoint Wonder Woman, The New 52 Wonder Woman, etc.). But knowing Michael is a long time fan of Wonder Woman and his taste, I decided to read issues #2 and #3....and find myself enjoying it more than I thought I would. The compassion and love that is the core of Wonder Woman is still there. And the art work, the delicate way she's drawn, so beautiful, it harkens me back to the likes of H.G. Peters or Cliff Chiang. I haven't picked up any of the individual issues, but Michael has now having me anxious for when DC will release an Absolute Wonder Woman collection in soft or hardbound
I’m glad you gave it a chance. I had some of the same concerns you did as well. And this is just proving to be such a great book. It definitely deserves a nice hardcover collection. I have a feeling we’ll get one. 😊
