A lot easier to entirely remove the top grill cover. You can then reach down to push in the clips to remove the GMC letters and have easy access to the headlight harness.
Sounds like this only runs when the headlamps are on? Or does it pick up from the parking/running light signal from the same harness? I'd rather it be the latter.....

Yes , you would have to turn on your running lights . If you want them On allllll the time , Timmy oh would have to tap into a 12v source that comes on when ignition is turned on
Actually, you have to do it on the passenger side. There are some obstructions in the way. It can be done, but it would be a much more difficult install. I just did mine

No it doesn’t matter. Passengers and drivers power identical to one another and connectors are the same .

@@DKLabs99Yes the 1500 is different. 2500 has a bunch of stuff in the way of the plug.
