I guess possibly due to my past traumas I have high expectations about any possible romantic partners. I feel like if I don’t have that spark with them initially I’m wasting my time. I also feel if I’m not attracted sexually I don’t even want them as a friend. I do have cptsd and am currently in therapy. I know now that I have to know that humans are imperfect and I need to be more patient and flexible with people. I have high standards because I myself uphold these standards personally for my “person”. I expect the same. But as I say..I’m learning otherwise….to give people time and know that attraction can grow and it may not be immediately evident.

Ha! Great question. I love when folx ask questions especially ones like this one. It's not that black and white. Some women like a take charge kind of person and others like someone who will allow them to be more of the assertive take charge person in the relationship. So it really depends. I think your safest bet is to balance the two and as you get to know the person you can always adjust as needed. I do however know that many women are afraid to make the first move so if you can hardness your badassness and initiate conversation or introduce yourself 9 times out of 10 there will be a positive outcome for you.
