There should have been more emphasis on physio..it is very important to activate the stabilizer muscles around the joints to maintain or improve the stability. Splinting the foot can help prevent the ligaments and tendons from being overstretched. The anterior part of my L foot started hurting 3 yrs ago. My gp at the time thought it was neuropathic and wanted to treat with gabapentin. I thought it was from plantar flexion and tried to keep my feet dorsiflexed while at rest. This year my ankle became much worse. I had an avulsion fracture that was probably over time from my ligaments being repeatedly overstretched. My sport doc who is doing my prolo/prp found thru his ultrasound device my malieolus was at times rubbing against cartilage or bone in some positions. I realized over the years of laying and sleeping on my L side it was stretching the outer side of my ankle causing the legaments and tendons to become overstretched. Prolo/prp has helped with my other joints and I hope it will with the ankle. I am going to get AFO's(ankle foot orthotic..light/soft one) to wear while watching TV and while sleeping ..to avoid plantar flexion keeping dorsiflexion.
There was a great analogy in the youtube video Intelligentt Exercises by Kathryn LIster. Normies muscles are like elastice and ligaments and tendons like metal coils...For us it is the opposite...the ligaments/tendons are like elastics and the muslces like coils. This blog tells what's in that video

I am very disappointed there was no mention of prolotherapy, prp and the other rejuvanitive injections. IT has worked for many zebras and some it hasn't. I figured I'd still grow faulty ligaments and tendons but at least they were new and not 59yrs old. IT has helped. Surgery should be the last option.
There are new meds for chronic pain..LDN ( low dose Naloxone). Most medical docs aren't aware of it but the ND's are. I've just started it for my chronic pains..want to prevent the extreme case of CRPS

Zebras have benifited with the hyprocure procedure.....//lafootanklesurgeons.com/hyprocure-surgery/
I would have preferred the presentation to be more about its title and been more diverse than mainly surgical interventions.

Poor quality sound and blurry slides during the introduction. Much better once the doctor came on.

Such a confusing video to make out despite the interesting/useful content, due to the too frequent dispersion of the doctor's personal info on his family. Would be amazing to have the same content presented without these distractions.
