You need the time in the fridge to mimic nature, bc the seeds have a “built in timer”/“activator” that won’t allow it to germinate until those conditions are met. If you don’t, they won’t germinate bc they’re waiting around for the cold to come. They do this in nature as a defensive mechanism in order to survive a cold winter so they can remain viable until spring time
Hi, I've got some seed I have prepped for little gem. About 100 seeds. Can I stratify those seeds in a peat pot kit? I have a 40 pack of peat pellets that would fit nicely in my fridge...please help!!

How old do you recommend your seedling to be before planting in the ground?
Can u start right at the seed inside the house or do you need to do the 3-6 mos in the fridge first?
