No knock on you at all, but the game WAY understates the fire power on the super star destroyer. When Voyager ran down the side of the ship it should have been continuously fired upon as it came into the field of fire of each of the next in the long line of successive turbo laser batteries down the side of the ship; not the random, slow fire the game allows.
I gotta think that ST phaser and photon torpedo weaponry would just blast huge chunks out of the hulls of unshielded SW warships.
Almost every time in these scenarios, ST weaponry is nerfed and the power of SW is made way overpowered - way past anything seen in the actual movies.
And another case of a ship needing to be rebalanced.
Granted, the Executor is more of a match for TNG-era designs due to her _sheer bulk_ and the output of her large reactors, but she's as maneuverable as a brick and her weapons are more akin to Enterprise-era plasma cannons then anything that can one-shot a Galaxy.
Gotta correct you on that, Star wars weapons are closer to a photon torpedo in impact and output rather than a Enterprize era plasma cannon. So imagine a hundred photon torpedo's hitting any Startrek ship and you'll have a pretty good idea of what would happen.

@@taw1967 That may be true, but that doesn't mean it "should" be. The "turbo lasers" should have a custom value that reflects what they would be closer to. Otherwise, these battles are just kinda weird, I get the intent, but the ships don't feel right.

What are Wars ships made of? Mostly steel and titanium. Trek ships, meanwhile, commonly use tritanium, an element 21 times harder then diamond.
Wars shields can't stop projectile weaponry from hitting the hull while Trek shields can.
And if that absolutely backward 'hundred photon torpedoes' comment was even remotely true, a single shot would shatter a planet. Yet that never happens and takes _days_ to glass a planet with a lot of help while a TOS-era Connie can do it alone.
So you're quite wrong.
@@housecoatgaming Not quite. Wars ships are made of numerous exotic materials, that may share a "name" with their earth counterparts but are far more highly refined and tempered than anything we could hope to make in the next 40,000 years.
And as to the shields statement, they are weak to weapons "designed" in their own universe specifically to penetrate them.
And if you have ever played KOTOR they glassed Taris in a few hours of orbital bombardment with turbo laser 4000 years older than what we see in the movies.
(Sub edit. The thousands of torpedo's comment is in relation to volume of fire, not the power of a single turbo laser.)
Executor-Class SSD is definitely bigger that the Voth City Ship. Now the Voth Fortress ship is said to be (134) km from STO.
The first battle you were controlling voyager is how any federation starsip should take on a Star Destroyer if they're smart. Star Destroyers have very few ventral weapons so it's a much safer way to attack one then just wear the sheilds down and stick a torperdo where it really hurts. We have seen something simular in Star Trek before in the battle of Terok Nor in the mirror universe when the ISS Defiant did the same when fighting the Regent's flagship.
The way the fight went when you were controlling voyager is how any “realistic” battle between a Star Trek ship and a Star Wars ship would go.
I would like to see a tantive vi or an imperial corvette go up against a Daedalus from sg1.

Most sources claim the lengths: 19km for the executor, about 10km for the voth City ship; Standard intrepid 344m meaning both ships could store Voyager inside multible Times 😅
Wow! 19Kms..that’s insane. I wonder how big spacedock is… *checks google* 5.5km by 3.8km. It would appear Star Wars does things much bigger.

Also all ssd's have back up sheild generatarors so you would hand a problem there.
If you are going off of retur of the jedi the ssd " the exutor" was under fire from the combined fire from the rebel fleet specificly ion cannon fire.
Also the empire would use the tractor beams to pin the federation ship in place to pound it to pices ( thats impreial s.o.p.. when facing single ships that are hostile )
I obviously didnt mention yhe fighter company that's carried on board (2 wings intercptor t.i.e.,6 sq to 1 wing of bombers t.i.es,3 sq recon,possibly experimental raider types t like the t.i.e. phantom orr hunter used by storm commando units.
Then you have the missle ships,gun boats boarding shuttles .
Also god hrlp you if you get a dark jedi or sith commanding the ship .
The s.s.d. is analgos to a u.s. carrier in a carrier strike group i.e. its never alone.

Considering the Voth city ship BEAMED Voyager inside yeah it's WAY bigger than the Super Star Destroyer.

When you mentioned the shape of the Super Star Destroyer...it actually reminds me of the delta that Trekyards uses for their channel. Nearly the same. I didn't connect the two until you mentioned it.
I was surprised you were able to destroy Voyager's shield system. That was nuts.
When Voyager was trying to go under you I had a sneaky feeling they were going for the Worf maneuver. Not surprised the game crashed lol.
I laughed so hard when the Death Star took you out with one shot from the planet beams. LOL
I laughed even harder when you destroyed the Death Star but blew up when you went into warp and the game glitching LMAO. I think you won that because you destroyed the Death Star first before you blew up when warping out lol.

That's my theory as well... the Voth city ship is roughly twice the size of the super star destroyer.
It would be nice if you did battles with rebel blockade runner cr90. It's my favorite ship and I'd love to see it take on some federation ships

Late to the party but there is absolutely no reactor bubble on an Executor class star dreadnought. Guessing bridge commander required a warp core-ish hardpoint so the mod author put one on.

The Warship Voyager is a serious machine. Even the fear of it would strike terror into people I think. It belongs in the Mirror Universe. 🖖

Despite how over-powered everything Star Wars seems to be in BC, the SSD seems underpowered: the 'real' one had "over 5,000 turbolasers, including 750 twin heavy turbolaser batteries, and 1000 turret-mounted twin light turbolaser batteries" and "125 assault concussion missile launchers, 100 twin battleship ion cannons and 250 turret-mounted quad laser cannons." (Wookiepedia) The shields also wouldn't fail so quickly, as in RotJ, it took the entire Rebel fleet concentrating their firepower to break the shields, and in legends, one SSD took three ISDs jumping out of lightspeed into it, without shields failing.

No, those are sensor domes not unlike you see on modern warships. The fallacy of those being shield generators came from the movie dialogue. If you actually think about it the bridge crew didn't realize the deflectors were down until the sensor done was destroyed. They then realized it and that's where the dialogue comes in. That and Voyager wouldn't be able to scratch the paint let alone get through the shields. Star Wars ships are magnitudes more powerful than Star Trek ships.
The Voyager would win easily.
The ssd should have utilized several squadrons of tie fighters.
I'm a fan of both ST and SW, and will stand behind that it comes down to the ship captains and crews when these two face off.

The star destroyer is a carrier, so that should be part of the simulation.

The Super Star Destroyer is supposed to have like 10000 weapons but the ship once again didn't fire that many.
An SSD would, of course, have ISD and fighter escort, as would the Death Star. Except I guess these are 1v1.
Revenge of the 5th you could do a Terren empire Fleet vs a combined rebels and empire Star Wars fleet

So i think the imperial star destroyer is actually more balanced than the super star destroyer in terms of actual power, id love to see them go against each other to prove or disprove my theory.

Star destroyers are tactically inferior even to an NX class.
Nah, the nx class didn’t have shields and simply don’t have the mass to stand up to the turbo laser fire. TOS enterprise onwards would solo any ISD.

People criticize Starfleet for putting their bridge on the outside of the ship, and rightfully so. But Star Wars puts their REACTORS in plain view of the entire enemy fleet with zero armor around them. I think Star Trek wins this squabble of "most idiotic ship design decisions".
You are obviously not a Star Wars fan and you know nothing about star destroyers... especially super star destroyers...
This ship can rain down in the Firepower to completely glass the surface for planet I don't care how much Star Trek fantasy science there is Federation ships are not that powerful
There was that time that a flotilla of cardassian ships bombarded a planet and it took them 2 hours to destroy the surface and another 7 to destroy the mantle. 2 hours to strip the crust off of a planet and only about 20ish ships. In TOS it was stated that the enterprise could destroy all life on a planet in a matter of hours. There was also that time in TOS when the enterprise shot and vaporized a mountain in a single phaser blast. Star Trek has significantly better ship feats within the tv series’s than anything Star Wars has in its movies/cartoons.
An ssd can run through voyager and not get destroyed by the warpcore breach.....

Could it, though? Warp core breaches are much more powerful than nuclear explosions. That super star destroyer is huge at 1.9km long but well within the area of destruction of even an average nuke. I think a TNG handbook started that a breach near orbit of a planet is an extinction level event.

There are several kilograms or antimatter in the warp core, the breach would reduce the star destroyer to light, heat, and radiation as the matter is annihilated.
