this is so calming and wholesome, we need more content based on slow living in 2024 as opposed to fast paced times that is choking us all in today's world. thank you so much for sharing this Jing :)
As a European it always baffles me how Americans find it normal that everything is always open at any time of the day. Regular shops/pharmacies etc close at 5 or 6 pm in most countries i know. Supermarkets will be 8 or 9pm on fridays, which is already very late. The only thing that took getting used to during holidays was the midday closing in Spain and sometimes even Greece, but getting used to taking a siesta didnt take super long :D Beautiful vlog!
Also in smaller towns, like mine in Canada, shops close early as well:)) It is basically only in bigger cities, I think? I could be wrong for American shops, though. I wish we had siesta here! :))
right?! here in Croatia stores usually work 'till 21 (22 if it's summer because of the tourist season)...the only place that I know which works 'till like 2/3 is Mcdonalds
@@fairyfarms well maybe it's usual in other cultures but personally i've never had to go to the supermarket very late. Like it's not normal for us and there's nothing which absolutely needs to be bought that late. Too bad but no problem we'll go tomorrow. Some places are open open very late but it's not common. Also if you work in a shop which is yours you can decide at what time you are open. But when you're an employee you never work all day every day. Usually you have a day off in the week (and very often the sunday) and sometimes you only work on the morning. Finally family life and personal life is very important in France so when it's late, you just stop working and go back to your life. I only think about two other exceptions : if you work in a gaz station (i don't know the name but the place where you can put gaz in your car and have a coffee, buy some snacks when you're traveling) and also in some regions when it's holidays, some shops stay open because people usually take some walks in the evening for instance at a market and so it's the perfect time to get customers
Coming from the French Riviera (more particularly Menton), it warms my heart to see a vlog with the towns of Antibes, Eze, Cap-d'Ail etc and also to see the market, the fact that you tasted the socca etc, it's a change from what we can see in other RUclips channel 🍋❤❤❤
Darling, i'm French and started following you recently, these eggs you bought were from very well treated chicken, living in the fields and eating lots of vegetables, grains and probably corn too. That's why they were so bright :) i'm so happy you loved Antibes, it's gorgeous and your vlog makes it even more dreamy somehow ! thank you for your work !
Your vlogs are like climbing a quiet set of stairs, sitting on top and watching the busyness of life of other people, as well as ours go by. Its insanely calm, so much that i've anchored myself to this feeling.
this is soooo relaxing 🫶🏻 as someone who badly wants to travel around the world but can’t because of financial difficulties, it truly feels like i was able to be in france with you even though i’m just watching behind a screen. vlogs like this are so full of joy & i hope to see more from you !
I don't think Americans "get" Europe. You need to slow down and be present and not run around like a headless chicken all the time. Get a coffee and sit on a terrace and watch the world go by, go to the market and beach, appreciate the architecture. Chill
As another American, I also agree. I work 12 hour days and “grind” it out every day. I wish our culture was different. I almost never really savor or enjoy life.
She’s not from Europe… she’s American of course she won’t get it, and she explained how she sees the lifestyle in the south of France and she embraced slowing down. Not all of European lives the same and not all Americans lives the same.
the last time i went to see my cousins (who live in nice) we went to eze and i had basically forgotten about it until watching your visit awaken those memories of being exactly where you were standing! kind of strange but also a warming and calming feeling of connection :) i should go back some time
Jing, I think you're one of the very few people who can make this kind of vlog so romantic. You're glowing girl! And both of you look so cute in the video. I hope the universe brings all the happiness to you both. Lots of love. Aamna💝 (Also like Watermelons in January?)
I need Jing to create a merch line!! like embroidered scenes of her fav parts of oxford diaries or the best moments of her life!! I just know they’d be awesome
I did the same holiday last summer - but stayed in Nice and Cannes. The cactus garden in Eze was nice and the walk up to it with all the little shops. The closing by 8pm is a Europe-wide thing because of labour laws. It is frustrating to finish work and everything is shut 🙃
omg jingsu, y're so productive in this holiday season, today is my last day of this semester, ur vlog really bright my day 🌷🌷🌷 i wish you a happy new year 2024, wish you to be happy all the year and i hope that you can achieve all the things you want just wanna say, you r totally my inspiration in studying career and lifestyle, love your energy🌷🌷🌷
oh to lay on the sun and beaches with your loved ones.. manifesting a good life like this content this year! thsnk you so much for the vlog.. its such a beautiful vlog
Este video es una joya de serenidad en medio del caos! En 2024, deberíamos abrazar más la vida lenta, y Jing lo clava con su enfoque inspirador. ¡No te pierdas este festín para los sentidos! 😌✨
also in my 20s here, navigating this big hairy thing called life. part of this journey is travelling and documenting my travels - just like you. videos like these inspire me! keep it up. FYI - if you're reading this as a teen/young adult who's feeling reflective and maybe a bit lost - i think you stumbled across this comment for a reason. i also share lessons and recipes on my page - would love to see you around.
hi jing! i love your vlogs and this one proves no different! i was wondering if you could share which airbnb you stayed at as I'm planning on doing a similar trip as yours with my boyfriend this spring break
I was in Eze about 2 (maybe 3?) weeks ago ! It’s a shame I didn’t find the hidden beach despite going to the top too ! Thank you for this beautiful vlog and happy you enjoyed yourself !
See u in NEXT month ??! Ma'am that's long.!! But thank you, sm, for dropping this peaceful art..!! I love watching ur vids. My exams are up, so this was the best thing to relax and motivate myself. Thanks for this. Waiting for see in next month again~ Happy New Year, belated 💕
I've always wanted to live in France and drive around on a Vespa, have dinner outside in front of the restaurant. Our daughter raises free-range chickens. The yokes are darker than the factory eggs. Better for you. I enjoy the style of your videos. Very nice and peaceful.
Hehe This reminds me of chopin. I must admit that when I gave that worker a dramatic influx of death threats, that this was in fact a part of the work I do for Chopin Nocturnes… I didn’t literally mean those words in any sense other than bringing the police to the scene to make sure you were not going to stay for any longer than that of a racoon.
i loved this vlog, jing!! it was so calming vlog to watch & inspired me to focus more on slow paced living, enjoying the moment as it is. p.s. you’re so pretty & you look kinda like jennie w sunglasses ❤❤
filmed this earlier last year but wanted to get a couple travel vlogs out before returning to my regular content hehe 🫶
Well we loved it! Thank you for this video ❤
Well done cute girl ❤❤❤
thanks for posting this! 💓

agree🩷this was so peaceful n relaxing to watch I been looking for videos like this for a long time 🦋
Jing thank you for this video very inspiring!, I love the way you romanticize life even if it just the littlest things.
ahh thank u so much 💗
Wow
it's only the "little things" that can be romanticised but i agree
I liked how you ended up switching each other's ice cream. so cute 🍦
this whole vlog felt like that part of a rom com book where they go to a slow trip and fall in love even more 💙

but what if you randomly need to grocery shop at midnight-? 😭
@@fairyfarms You really dont need to. Those shops dont need to cater to peoples poor time management.

It also depends where in america and where in europe. Definitely not nyc for a slow pace life. Loved this video though with great intentions!
