thank you for explaining this. the game really does nothing to explain. i would get hit by sloppy butcher and i thought that i was dehydrated or something. i didn’t realize it was a blood drop lol
My favorite status effect story was a huntress that was trying to be an insidious basement camper. Guess she didn't know I could still hear her singing.
Best part was I got the two people out she was camping (they still died cause she tunnled them) and when I got the exit gate opened and was running out she tried to rage quit to deny me the points but was too late and just cost herself the round.
It was actually first added with Victor! It’s literally nowhere else though and there’s only two twins players so i don’t blame you for not knowing lmao
@@DavidTaylor-ej9jw I didn’t say it was first added. I just said they added it to that perk, since it’s missing from his list in the video since it was made the day before the reveal.

What's that status effect that looks like a little plug that's pulled out? It keeps appearing under my teammates icons when I see a Spirit, is that effect part of her power?
You know, I’ve already known about most of these, but it’s still a really quick, nice and “to-the-point” guide for me, I didn’t even know that sleep penalty was a status effect I thought it was just applied over time.
Thanks for amazing short guide video! Usually content creators aim for 6-10 min+ long videos. Which is kinda annoying. Also, I had a question about perks that share exhaust thingy. Which is perfectly answered in this video. I appreciate it.. also, I haven’t played dbd for over a year or two. I came back recently and I am happy that I found this video. :)
What a coincidence. I was outside and was thinking about status effects in dbf and I was like "hey, Sh6rpshot can maybie do this" I come back and see this.
Crazy cuz this happened to me a while go about other stuff. Like literally thought about it and went on RUclips, just to see it on my recommendations. Stuff I never even searched before
a note to incapacitated: it ABSOLUTELY stops survivors from leaving the game through the exit gates this status is in effect whenever a survivor is: - being hugged by victor, up to 5 seconds after they lose him, either by crushing him or charlotte putting the survivor into the dying state - being bound by a possessive chain by the cenobite and it also lingers a bit after they are put into the dying state by the killer, but i think not if they remove the chains themselves - being hit by a huntress who uses the weighted head addon (as shown in the video) these 3 are the only killers who can make survivors not leave the match by this status effect, since the only other way survivors can get incapacitated is by the perk Eruption, whereas the effect is far too short for a survivor to be afflicted by it, have another survivor complete a different or the same generator, open the gate for them and have them attempt to leave
Forgot to add that in a chase Deep Wound's effect is paused otherwise it would be really cheese to just chase someone until they just fell on the ground
1:23 just a small correction, Haemorrhage will make survivors drop blood more frequently, but doesn’t make blood easier to see. Bloodhound makes blood easier to see and victor can also see blood easier Edit: Madness afflictions are based on the types of add-ons, not the power itself but you will be unable to do any action aside from dropping pallets, vaulting windows and unhooking survivors. Edit 2: The killer can also lose bloodlust if they lose chase for more than around half a second. Edit 3: When you are supposed to be downed and have the endurance status effect, you will instead be inflicted with a deep wound, mettle of man is the only exception which will ignore the hit rather than inflicting a deep wound. Also the deep wound timer from borrowed time can be longer or shorter depending on the tier of the perk and the deep wound from the legion can be shortened with add-ons (Joey’s mixtape etc.) Edit 4: not being able to drop pallets or vault windows when shocked is a different affect, but isn’t a status and the madness skill check are part of the base power
More blood = easier to see if that makes sense, going into the madness tiers specifics is sort of out of the scope of this video, and for bloodlust I only mentioned the things the killer can control in enfin the bloodlust, and for endurance I wanted to keep it just about endurance and not swing it back to deep wound even though your right it does put you back in the deep wound for BT and stuff :)
This video is perfect. I've been trying to get a friend of mine into DBD and even though we are having fun I was having trouble describing status effects to him. Thanks for the upload.
You forgot that one perk in the game can put a survivor in the Undetectable status effect Jeff Johansen: Distortion (sorry I am French and I don't know the English name of that perk) you begin the game with 3 tokens, and when your aura should be showed to the killer, 1 token is consumed and your aura is invisible to the killer during 10 seconds, and you also leave no scratchmarks and no blood (you have the undetectable status effect)
That’s not necessarily the undetectable status effect, it just makes you hidden to the killer! It’s like having undetectable but for survivors which isn’t a a thing if that makes sense😂
This probably doesn’t matter too much, but if you are affected with the blindness status effect, you can still see white auras. I know for sure you can still see Jigsaw Boxes, Plague’s Wells, and Freddy’s Alarm Clocks. I’m unsure if you can see Nemesis’s Vaccines, though I’m pretty sure you can.

a note to incapacitated:
it ABSOLUTELY stops survivors from leaving the game through the exit gates
this status is in effect whenever a survivor is:
