My Afghani buddy Nisar from the night market had recommended a haircut shop just down the street, and his hair looked pretty good, so I decided to try my luck.
I walked down the street to the pharmacy he had pointed out, and just across the street was a barber shop called "Salmani Qasim". I walked up the small stairs and was greeted by two nice barbers. The rest is history.
The total for each service was:
₹200 for haircut ($2.42 USD)
₹50 for hair wash ($0.61 USD)
₹100 for shave ($1.21 USD)
₹200 for massage ($2.42 USD)
₹150 for subscribing ($1.82) - yes he actually took it, haha.
--Total: ₹700 INR ~ $8.50 USD
Just to be clear, the man Najboor Ullah who cut my hair only wanted to take ₹400 (~$4.84 USD) from me at the end. I then offered to pay the full amount of ₹550 for all his services he gave me. His brother Sarfaraz then proceeded to ask for the subscribe money I joked about, and didn't want to give the ₹50 in change. Doesn't really matter to me as it was a fun experience, but I just wanted to make this clear here in the description for anyone who is confused.

Sometimes people take good behaviour for granted, that's why most of the stories about scams happen. Another way is not disclosing rate before the job is done and asking insane amount afterwards. None the less, you walked away without much hassle. Take care bro

Frankly speaking, the hair cut cost only 100rs nd 50rs for beard and massage. The shampoo that they were talking about is the cheapest one and are of bad quality. Everything they told you is a lie and you became a fool at the end by paying extra money.
I think they deserve it. They might have rented that place. we underpay them thats why so many people are poor in India. some big saloon charge them more than that. Yes to suscribe the channel he paid extra thats not fair.

In Kolkata it would cost you Rs.50-70 for haircut, 20-30 for normal cream shave, shampoo will take 50-100 depending on the brand. The brand they used are all local brands never heard. Loreal is the best one i guess in normal salon like this.
