I sent you an email, but there on the case side where the bushing goes in, Is there a bushing sleeve or something in the case in the hole? so the hole then a sleeve then the bushing?
Thanks for the videos Jeff. I own a 2017 KTM 300 It recently started making a very audible rattle at low RPM.I pulled the clutch out everything was good,I then pulled the cylinder off there was no up and down slop on the rod and the crank spins smoothly. The piston looks brand new with only a little carbon on top and the power valve moves good and is not sloppy.I drained oil There was no metal in the gear oil I then took the left side case off and the bendix looks sloppy and has a little wear on the teeth.It just looks and feels a little junky but not sure if that is how they are. Could this assembly be making this noise.The bike has full power and works perfectly but this rattle is so nerve racking I feel like its going to self destruct. What could this noise be.The things brand new and has been awesome
Hmmm.... i seen a two videos about this problem from Jeff. In first you just add some motor oil from plunger in to the generator housing.But in this video you put some consitentr grease.What better?
Hey Jeff thanks for this i did this yesterday on my 2009 and and starter is now working great, i filled all 4 bushings with grease including the 2 crown wheel ones am i meant to do that? Wasn't sure so just checking. Cheers
Hi Jeff. Please help to me 🙏 I have a 2014 model and I have some problems with the e-starter. Everything is within the parameters of the service manual but someone recommended try with bendix and idler gear from the 2015 or 2016 model. ¿Do you think the problem may have the solution in that?
@@slaverace1 The problem is when I press the button, the system works intermittently and the bike does not start and when it started, it never did it with the gear on... There aren't voltage drops and the motor is perfect!!
@@camilocabrera204 When you press the button do you hear the starter motor spinning? If so, you need a new Bendix and you should also upgrade to the newer crown wheel slavensracing.com/shop/2015-bendix-crown-wheel-upgrade-kit-ktm-husaberg-husqvarna-200250300/ at the same time.
I saw another video where a guy took a drill bit which was a bit smaller than the ID of the bushing and pushed it a bit sideways so it would "bite" into the bushing, and then he pulled it out.
Do you mean the one that’s visible in this video? Good question. The stock bushing almost always gets chewed up and comes out by itself lol. I’d try some penetrating solution around the bushing and stick in some reverse pliers into the bushing deep and spread the pliers and pull it out.
I discovered that you can remove that inner bushing with a slightly smaller OD drill bit, using the cutting edge of the bit to get into the bushing enough to carefully pry it out of the housing.
ride4funn omg Excellent. Hopefully your new bushings go in as smoothly as they did for me. After letting the new bushing break in so to speak (a couple of starting attempts), the starter system started engaging properly.
Why not remove the 'wet mod' video if you don't like it. Seriously, I just finished the wet mod YOU suggest in the other video. Now you don't like it. Awesome mate. Just bloody awesome.
I leave it up because 1000s of customers love it. If I take it down I would hear complaints about that so I can't win either way. I think it is a PITA so I don't do it, but it does work. Cheers mate!

Do you remove the flywheel to clean it? Or just go for it while still installed?

Use a drill bit, just enough to bite at it and pull it out.
