I cannot stress this enough. Just put the full bottom lash on and hold it tightly by shutting your eye. Then take the top lash and kinda slide it down your top lid to meet it. One and done. You aren’t dropping the lash, getting it too far away from your lid..it’s just ridiculously easy.
I've asian eyes, I thought magnetic lashes would save my time on sticking falsies.... after an hour of trying, an watching several magnetic lashes hack... I saw this comment and I thought it was life saver, I've followed your instructuons and tried like almost 10 times it stills get into my eyes/doesn't stick properly to my eyeliner 😭😭😭it's so frustrating 😭
Sally Lee I feel your pain! LOL! I've been trying for a month and still no luck. I'm not giving up, but I finally put them away in a separate place from my everyday makeup. A girl has to save her nerves sometimes! The only thing I have conquered is losing them. I tuck a white sheet under my chin so it if they fall I can find them. At least that's a little progress!

Genius is right! I wasn’t aware Ardell even had magnetic lashes yet! My first experience was EXACTLY like yours, I think I bought them off an ad on FB. EPIC FAIL, sad, sad little lashes. Best video ever! I was struggling with these lashes for so long and got really annoyed when the bottom lashes would just not sit right and were toooo straight and looked weird. Tried this trick and omg! They are perfect!! Will wear these to work everyday now without any lash glue residue! Yay!!

Love the hack !! - I've worn bi-focals for YEARS and had so much trouble putting on eye make up, because my eye vision was so bad. I'm just seeing this video for the 1st time. I've been back and forth with these "things." As alot of comments I have read, they are and can be great. That is if you can get them on correctly! These lashes really do take practice for some of us to put on and flow with your own lashes and look like they belong on your face instead of back in the package! This has to be the best laid out video I have seen for putting them on with the cutting hack. I also plan to try one of the replies for applying the whole bottom lash on first and then sliding the top lash down to connect. Either way, I'm not giving up just yet. I would really like to make these work and not have to deal with the regular fake lashes and all the glue and possible mess that may come with that for me personally. Thank you ladies for the very helpful tips!
I enjoyed watching this lesson. You lashes looked FABULOUS once you got them on the right way! I bought the original ones that came out years ago for $70 and was NEVER able to get them on because I am HORRIBLE at applying lashes. i recently got magnetic lashes and was struggling with them.. mine come with an applicator but the lashes still dont go in the right place on my lashes. i think your idea of cutting them up is a great idea and i will attempt to try it!

You ARE the best! This hack worked THE 1st TIME I tried it. I originally tried to put them on as directed on the package and it was a disaster. Then, I applied my mascara and then cut them into 3 pieces and wow...looks so much, better, I'll be subscribing to you!

I just bought these. And I am not a girly girl but I want lashes! I want to look cute but like i could fight lol. Anyways! I fought with these lashes for hours. Most youtubers make it look so simple and easy! I love that you didn't mind showing that it didn't work. BUT HOLY COW! You just saved Ulta from my return! I got the pack that has the split because I also thought it looked like it would work easier then the full lash. Way off. Since it has 2 magnets on each side it is slightly easier but still slightly to hard. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT CUTTING IT INTO 3 WOULD WORK! THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME A DISAPPOINTING TRIP THINKING I HAD FAILED! THEY ARE JUST CRAZY HARD. But with a trick like this I will be looking girly in no time! I am so excited and can't wait to try! To be honest, these double wispies look somewhat too fake to me.. my favorite is the ardell 110 style... it looks pretty plain in the box, but if you think about how they are actually going to sandwich and layer together.. then you kinda want.. or at least I do... a less full style to begin with.
Dena Strban I meant to type a couple of YEARS ago! It wa an online merchant and I think the site was called Razzle. They were pretty expensive-it was when magnetic lashes were first coming out. Maybe one year ago.

Oh MY GOD! You are amazing! How did you come up with this idea I don't know but seriously, you are a GENIUS. And you look absolutely perfect with these lashes on ^^
I used tiny eyebrow scissors and cut in at an angle (perpendicular to the band - not parallel to it). Similar to what a hair dresser does when they give you layers in your hair. You could also just cut off every other lash in an even pattern. The biggest is not to cut parallel to the band on just the ends, as you’ll end up with blunt ends like a bad mom hair cut 😂
I returned the first pair as it was just too complicated. I may try one more time. Looks like you had eye liner on already too, correct? How many wears can you get from one pair? One pair was about $15 at CVS. Ouch.
SO happy I found this tutorial! I bought these, fought with them, cut them (but not in three!lol) and then got so frustrated that I either threw them out (oh lord , now I hope I didn’t! ) or tossed them into a drawer (the choice I’m hoping for)! Looks so easy when you do it and it's a great hack! However, I don't have any top lashes except for a few and I'm not kidding. This is due to thyroid issues so while I would love to try these I think will have to stick to regular falsies but do love your idea and video.
I wonder.... my hair fell out... or started falling out due to trauma.... one year ago today.... my photography studio was burglarized and while I was standing in it bawling, one of the guys came back in on me.... anyhow... not trying to get off into all that heartache but my hair started falling out in clumps... eyelashes too... from stress. It was a nightmare for several months, as the remaining thug group started calling my house and attempting to finish the rest of the robbery. Anyhow... I bought a $29 eyelash serum on amazon that you apply every night.. and I swear it’s made a drastic difference... it might work for you!
Dena Strban What's the name of the serum? I've been using the Boots No. 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum but haven't noticed much of a difference. Three months after I went through a period of illness and surgery, half my hair fell out. I had waist length hair and we broke three vacuum cleaners. Fortunately, I do have very thick hair but my crowning glory disappeared. I finally did get healthy a year later and it grew back in. I has to cut it when the new hair got to shoulder length because it looked ridiculous. I have a purple pixie cut now many years later. Hang in there. Trauma never goes away but you do heal.

I started it two months ago and Valentine's was the day I had planned to review it.. but I realized that I had actually only applied it about half the time.. so now I am trying to be diligent in my application for the next week, just to get it a fair review. But... I SWEAR it's made a difference already!

I've been using some magnetic liner to hold the top lash in place, then put the bottom lash on. Hope this helps someone out there! ❤

i recently got magnetic lashes and was struggling with them.. mine come with an applicator but the lashes still dont go in the right place on my lashes. i think your idea of cutting them up is a great idea and i will attempt to try it!

I was hesitant to try these lashes until this video! I've seen tutorials about cutting normal lashes to make them stay on better so this makes a lot of sense!

I just bought these. And I am not a girly girl but I want lashes! I want to look cute but like i could fight lol. Anyways! I fought with these lashes for hours. Most youtubers make it look so simple and easy! I love that you didn't mind showing that it didn't work. BUT HOLY COW! You just saved Ulta from my return! I got the pack that has the split because I also thought it looked like it would work easier then the full lash. Way off. Since it has 2 magnets on each side it is slightly easier but still slightly to hard. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT CUTTING IT INTO 3 WOULD WORK! THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME A DISAPPOINTING TRIP THINKING I HAD FAILED! THEY ARE JUST CRAZY HARD. But with a trick like this I will be looking girly in no time! I am so excited and can't wait to try! Thank you a million.

OMIGAWSH... do you mind telling me where you got those? To be honest, these double wispies look somewhat too fake to me.. my favorite is the ardell 110 style... it looks pretty plain in the box, but if you think about how they are actually going to sandwich and layer together.. then you kinda want.. or at least I do... a less full style to begin with.
Dena Strban I meant to type a couple of YEARS ago! It wa an online merchant and I think the site was called Razzle. They were pretty expensive-it was when magnetic lashes were first coming out. Maybe one year ago.

Omg I’m interested in how you did this... snipped longway in toward the band? I feel like my double wispies are too full!
I used tiny eyebrow scissors and cut in at an angle (perpendicular to the band - not parallel to it). Similar to what a hair dresser does when they give you layers in your hair. You could also just cut off every other lash in an even pattern. The biggest is not to cut parallel to the band on just the ends, as you’ll end up with blunt ends like a bad mom hair cut 😂

I returned the first pair as it was just too complicated. I may try one more time. Looks like you had eye liner on already too, correct? How many wears can you get from one pair? One pair was about $15 at CVS. Ouch.

I bought these, fought with them, cut them (but not in three!lol) and then got so frustrated that I either threw them out (oh lord , now I hope I didn’t! ) or tossed them into a drawer (the choice I’m hoping for)! Looks so easy when you do it and it's a great hack! However, I don't have any top lashes except for a few and I'm not kidding. This is due to thyroid issues so while I would love to try these I think will have to stick to regular falsies but do love your idea and video.
I wonder.... my hair fell out... or started falling out due to trauma.... one year ago today.... my photography studio was burglarized and while I was standing in it bawling, one of the guys came back in on me.... anyhow... not trying to get off into all that heartache but my hair started falling out in clumps... eyelashes too... from stress. It was a nightmare for several months, as the remaining thug group started calling my house and attempting to finish the rest of the robbery. Anyhow... I bought a $29 eyelash serum on amazon that you apply every night.. and I swear it’s made a drastic difference... it might work for you!
Dena Strban What's the name of the serum? I've been using the Boots No. 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum but haven't noticed much of a difference.
Three months after I went through a period of illness and surgery, half my hair fell out. I had waist length hair and we broke three vacuum cleaners. Fortunately, I do have very thick hair but my crowning glory disappeared. I finally did get healthy a year later and it grew back in. I has to cut it when the new hair got to shoulder length because it looked ridiculous. I have a purple pixie cut now many years later. Hang in there. Trauma never goes away but you do heal.

OK... so the serum is called Lavish Lash. I am trying to get a video review together on it soon... I started it two months ago and Valentine's was the day I had planned to review it.. but I realized that I had actually only applied it about half the time.. so now I am trying to be diligent in my application for the next week, just to get it a fair review. But... I SWEAR it's made a difference already!
