It's crazy how you can see such a powerful engine go from a work horse to a monster deadhead. It would be absolutely cool if you could get permissions from NF to film the repairs. That would be very interesting. Great video
Just wondering how they got air through those damaged locomotive’s to that flat car in front to release the brakes? Was this the train that blew through that precast beam also nice coverage!
Thanks Mr. Camera Man, good camera action!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU , watched the 3 video's .. never seen this done before . greatly appreciated
I believe they use the idler cars for the extra braking capacity since the damaged locos are free-wheeling.
You would think one locomotive would have enough braking power for the other one. Also, isn't it riskier to push them, as opposed to pulling them.
@@renorailfanning5465 pulling them could lead to one of the couplers on the damaged locos breaking
Makes sense to me!
@@JAMESMANHUNT9 sounds logical
@@renorailfanning5465 both of those engines will be getting a through inspection
Love the blue recycle can for scale
And a small section of the pre-stressed girder that caused it all.
Lead locomotive 4067 seems to be in good shape for what happened to it what an amazing cleanup effort !!
Sweet 👍👍just subscribed too
That is what you call a hospital train !
Nice video
It's gonna buff out just fine.
I Wonder If 3601'S Going To Get Repaired, Because It Didn't Look That Heavily Damaged. Also, Thankfully The Crew Survived.
DeButts Yard is in Chattanooga.

Yes it was and the hoses have a airpipe in the loco that goes from one end to the other
They will be repaired and put back in service asap
Depends sometimes replacing them is cheaper than fixing them.
Just subscribed!!!!! Great video!!!!!!!
Thanks again for a great series.
The white hose you can see is how they connected the air to the other car
