When I was in high school, I hated math. So instead of doing math homework, I programmed my TI-84 calculator to do the math for me. I wrote custom programs that would not only find the answer, but also show all the steps in between so I could "show my work" as the teachers wanted. Most teachers were fine with this, as TI-83 or better calculators were required at my high school and these teachers saw it as simply "using the resources available to you." Awesome teachers. I love the last part about teaching something that you're learning. It's so true...I've done it before but you made me realize how effective it is. Like Add Maths, I was teaching someone else Add Maths when I literally scored an average of 50 😵😵 but doing so helped me understand more and remember formulas for the exam which got me to improve. Love that tip thank you!
the biggest point I got out of this was teach what you are trying to learn & curse of knowledge. It's an interesting idea and I want to try it. Thanks.
I am a Uni student and the fact that we werent really thaught how to study in school is bloody heart breaking. I have to figure things out on my own mostly now coz teachers dont realise how fixated students can be on a single mindset like solo studies. We want independance in Uni so we try to look for our ways without trying to get guide from teachers about general learning at least and thats why we should be thaught that in high school. But no, seems like their drawing board needs an upgrade
Ali these tips are incredible insightful for those who want to get started on how to learn! In America we aren’t taught how to learn at all. Even during my journey through my time at my university. Now that I’m out also want to pursue medicine. However I was never able to come up with an effective strategy/ method to study no matter how much I tried. Now I’m on the pursuit to sharpen my own axe. Do you have videos or classes that integrates everything from breaking down a textbook, identifying high yield material, using anki( testing yourself) spaced repetition, preparing for upcoming exams( how many days in advance, identifying what material to start on first). Sincerely, someone who was never taught but always willing to learn
I'm 41, and I am a doctor too, but i decided to leave medicine and become an entrepreneur 4 years ago, to stay home with my kids. I now have my own business, but i was afraid of the idea of making videos and having a channel. You inspired me Ali! Pray for me to go on and be persistent with this channel! I have great hopes!
Having this video playing in the background and then I hear, "But obviously when we are focused on the thing we're learning, our brain learns the thing a lot better." I think there's something wrong here...
Can I just say that you are such an inspiration? ✨ Granted I don't follow 100% of your rules and I am sure you don't either 🤣 but they are very motivational and inspiring! 💕
A high school teacher of mine once said that the best way to learn is to study something to the point where you’re able to explain it to someone else in your own words. Just memorizing things without understanding a thing isn’t nearly as effective because you’ll eventually forget most of what you memorized, but when you actually understand something fully and are able to teach others about it, you’ll remember it all for a very long time. This really helped me out because in high school I used to just engrave words into my head and forget them days after tests and exams.
@Aàlî AbdàaI haha seems like you are wise with your things, inserting business in everywhere, even in comment section promoting your own values rather than a real facts, wanna share knowledge then make it free to everyone, then it will regard as a social services, people would love that.
I look at the term, say it out loud 7-10 times, picture it in my mind, and make sure I get it right because it’s easy to confuse yourself but make sure I get it right before moving on. I have been doing this method for 15 years and it works for me!
I am going through most of your videos again. they are much-needed ones for the current world. love your new videos with the authors of the book. and breaking down the books.

Definitely one of the best vids I've seen from you. You've definitely been working out and you're looking better for it compared to the earlier clips you were showing. Really inspirational- both the vid and how the fitness regime is going.
The concept of Hidden Time Wealth blew my mind. It’s like finding a cheat code for productivity and defeating procrastination.
He said to pretend like exam is tomorrow, but my exam is tomorrow.
😅 I hope you immersed yourself in your situation
Literally just finding ur channel
Started with the 3 yrs old ones about study techniques about an hour ago, tbh still not completely clear on how to apply them but I'll give them another go in the morning.
I'm about to give tertiary education another go (didn't go great first time) and was looking to arm myself with study techniques that work.
Ur channel seems to be a godsend!
Stay awesome!
The older I get the more I wish we had more time.
Learning programming languages, learning languages, work, hobbies...so little time in a day!
Ali - Just want to say, you are genuinely so impressive and we all are so grateful for your content. Your videos, the formatting and everything surrounding it is so helpful. Thank you so much, you are truly inspiring.

Love that tip thank you!
ruclips.net/channel/UCi4gL0LsYhz8mFJqIxP9DEw
the biggest point I got out of this was teach what you are trying to learn & curse of knowledge. It's an interesting idea and I want to try it. Thanks.
Ali be like - "Let's read their minds and make a video on it ."
My mind is absolutely blown with this concept 😳🙏🏼🙏🏼

Cool
lol me too
Ali is the friend everyone needs but not everyone deserves. thank you Ali.
I love how he posted this video during my exams
This will a great deal of help
Thanks Ali
Facts 😬
I'm 41, and I am a doctor too, but i decided to leave medicine and become an entrepreneur 4 years ago, to stay home with my kids. I now have my own business, but i was afraid of the idea of making videos and having a channel. You inspired me Ali! Pray for me to go on and be persistent with this channel! I have great hopes!

Having this video playing in the background and then I hear, "But obviously when we are focused on the thing we're learning, our brain learns the thing a lot better." I think there's something wrong here...

Right.learning is so much important in today's world..
I think the most important tip for me is to focus on the weakness. I always tend to study the most for the subjects I'm already good or decent in. 😂

85% of this is active recall. Best studying technique ever. Hands down. Thanks for the insights, Ali! More power.

you should talk in tedx... i mean, you have incrideble speaking skils and you have a ton of knowladge....
@Aàlî AbdàaI get out scammer
Aàlî AbdàaI ,
A high school teacher of mine once said that the best way to learn is to study something to the point where you’re able to explain it to someone else in your own words.
Whoo! Whoo! I was randomly searching your channel name and found out you had just uploaded right now!! 💕
@Aàlî AbdàaI haha seems like you are wise with your things, inserting business in everywhere, even in comment section promoting your own values rather than a real facts, wanna share knowledge then make it free to everyone, then it will regard as a social services, people would love that.
ruclips.net/channel/UCi4gL0LsYhz8mFJqIxP9DEw .
I look at the term, say it out loud 7-10 times, picture it in my mind, and make sure I get it right because it’s easy to confuse yourself but make sure I get it right before moving on. I have been doing this method for 15 years and it works for me!
Me :focusing on Ali's hair damn 😂
Guilty lol
I am going through most of your videos again. they are much-needed ones for the current world. love your new videos with the authors of the book. and breaking down the books.
I don’t know who, but someone needs to hear this, you’ve got to stop saving all your money. Venture into investing some if you really want financial freedom
This is my advice for the youths and the teenagers
Invest globally into cryptocurrencies , gold, silver, Stocks market, commodities. Just don’t be left out and save yourselves
Beautifully said. I tell my folks these words everyday.
It’s good to save money but most people don’t understand the market moves and tend to be misled in facts like this and always depends on money in the bank
Great facts
@Kate Meyer If you think you’re too busy to trade or learn how to trade, just know I have some friends who invests with a platform where experts devote their time and help them trade and generate a good ROI

@@L1ghTx if u don't like it u can leave. It's that simple .what ur doing over here may be demotivating him so please make ur choice :stay or leave! I am asking u sincerely
@@L1ghTx no man not like that…. In between his videos were not that useful….
@@Science_explained I don't think he will get demotivated by a single user comment, as he pretty surely is able to deal with these type of comments. However, I wouldn't leave a channel just because I dislike the last videos that have been released. I'll just wait until there may be something I'm more interested in again.
I
literally opened youtube to search this topic and boom, there it is at the right time.
Thanks a lot
I can trust him 100% on that topic, considering to how match stuff he knows
I always try to associate them with real life, but it can be quite a toll on some topics like finance/math. A tip that I give to people is to get into the word roots and their meaning. Remembering their roots helped me learn terms that just did not stick.
I'm learning how to edit , so I'm taking your advice 📌
Thanks for your feedback! And thanks for watching.

"Like a good tosser". Hahaha. Love this! These (especially active recall and spaced repetition) have totally helped me study nutritional therapy as a part-time student (in London) while also having a full-time, full-on job as an Executive Producer in advertising (in Amsterdam). Great breakdown here. 👍
