Swapping logic boards (from this video it looks like it's possible? please tell me if that's not true) means all info from the SE will be put into the 8 (and vice versa), such as networks/Bluetooth devices, unlock passcode and anything else saved on the SE. Is this correct?
NONONO. For SE only, swapping boards requires swapping fingerprint cable, CPU, Flash, baseband chip,baseband CPU and logic chip. Also, your WIFI requires unbinded.
Then you can use the old data.

The 8 Plus size is bigger, so the board won’t fit. But for testing, outside the housing, it is fine, as the connectors are the same.

You can but, no wireless charging, the board may warp, and the screen won’t fit.

@@holyspiritlead5 Not exactly the same, the top of the screen where the grooves to hold the screen are different. Yes you could use iPhone 7 screen, but the iPhone 8 and SE board is slightly different, so over time leaving it in a iPhone 7 housing will damage it. Also you have to change Charging port, camera, somehow get wireless charging. So yeah not the best option
