I get your point, but at the same time there is some truth to the fact that Pereira has not been tested much by high quality wrestling. The reason is that every guy he fights wants to prove a point by promising they’re not going to wrestle but will knock him out instead. It’s so stupid to do that with a guy like Pereira, but that’s what Jamahal Hill said and did, it’s what Strickland said and did, and it’s apparently what Jiri was going for too. And now, even Ankalaev is on Twitter saying he “doesn’t need to wrestle” Pereira and will KO him instead. Which is madness. The only person who actually fought smart against Pereira was Jan Blachowitz, and it’s no coincidence that he gave Alex a lot more trouble than any of the other guys.

I love how the other fighters rave about Poatan, Jan even though he had 1 whole round on the back of his opponent "who doesn't know anything about grappling" he didn't finish, he didn't develop he didn't face any danger and he was dominated and punished for 2 rounds, but in his head , he won because he held Alex on the ground for a while and didn't do anything, Hill thinks that Poatan stole after taking a low blow and wanting to continue the fight, and he firmly believes that he is a better striker, Jiri preferred to blame the spirits, and when Ankalaev is decimated by Pereira because just like the others HE WILL NOT WANT TO ACCEPT that he is a WORSE striker, we will see what excuse will be invented...

Ye, i thought about that too. Since the Teixeira fight, Procházka stoped evolving. He always said that before the next fight, he scraps his entire fighting persona and his hairdoo and starts over with adapting to his current opponent. He stoped doing that after the Glover fight. His hair and style remained pretty much the same, making it easy for Alex to watch what is Jiří doing and then counter it with perfect timing.
Maybe it's his sponsors saying to stay the same in order to be recognisable for his customers idk. But he seriously should forget about all of this fuzz around him and start listening to his coaches, while preparing specifically for his next opponent, getting ready to exploit his weaknesses. He needs to clear his mind, otherwise he's going to be a vegetable in a couple of years.
