Surf City Marathon 2025

The 29th Annual Surf City Marathon took over Huntington Beach on February 2, 2025, welcoming over 16,000 runners to the iconic coastline for a day filled with energy, determination, and community spirit. Participants of all ages and skill levels tackled the marathon, half marathon, 5K, and beach mile, pushing their limits against the backdrop of perfect weather and an enthusiastic crowd.
The event honored Huntington Beach’s LA Fire Strike Team with a special race start, while local leaders and public safety officials joined in to show support. Runners crossed the finish line with powerful displays of endurance, with many sharing personal stories of overcoming challenges and running for causes close to their hearts, including Ainsley’s Angels.
The marathon wrapped up with a lively Finish Line Festival, complete with live music, food and drinks, which served as a major fundraiser for Ainsley’s Angels. With breathtaking ocean views, inspiring moments, and an unmatched community vibe, Surf City Marathon 2025 proved to be another unforgettable chapter in Huntington Beach’s racing tradition. The finish line area of this marathon is in the worst place for spectators. One side just wider than the sidewalk and the other skirted by a hedge full of thornes and blocked by a tree. Next year think about it.
