Did you know ancient tombs of Viking warriors male and female had dread locks? That the remains of Ivan the Terrible had...dread locks? That Hindu Sadhu and tribal people wear dread locks? That ancient Slovinian remains had dreadlocks? If you have hair, dread locks are a part of your culture. Dread locks are human culture. Rastafari is beautiful. Humans have so much potential for beauty, love, joy.

I've had many questions for God in regards to my beautiful, head full of nappy, tight coils. Even though I was thankful, I never knew what to do with my hair to bring honor to God and at the same time let it be functional. For years I bought in to the European lie that I needed to straighten my coils in order to beautiful-even though it was the hot comb and not chemicals, I still lived a lie. Now I am finally living with my crown the way God meant it to be a blessing to me. I am locing my hair, and I've never felt more happier, and liberated.

I have grew them back all for my mom and I love Lions very much so have to represent the Lion of Judah....God gave us hair so why not love everything he gives to us and cherish it? The video was OK..as other viewers pointed out there was obvious culture vulturism going on without a doubt from the locks on down to the jafakean patois accent.I know rastas who would call that particular practice," wolf in sheep"s clothingism" lol..I understand that to a degree.because truthfully, where are u in the process if your embracing of society is a moniker of saying you're," anti society" through the symbolic growing of your hair?..its purely an egoic prison straight up..I've seen the full spectrum of it..for instance, strictly from an observation point of reference, I've personally witnessed brothers from the most hoodiest of hoods claim black nationalism and black consciousness etc very boisterously and openly i might add yet, once
they choose to grow their locks to a certain length, they then avoid black women like the plague.on the opposite end, there are whites who do it and know absolutely nothing on rasta nor sadhu etc culture and will not venture to even learn much less embrace it outside of smoking some herb and learning the lyrics of a Bob Marley tune or two.going around claiming,"society rebel" status but in effect are more trapped than before they began growing the locks . so the locks in those instances can become a representation of a particular internal psychosis of the moment when mis represented as anything other than a hairstyle.. If its a cool fashion for you then say that's what the hell it is no problem but whether black or white, the fake egoic personification a lot of folks take on when growing their locks is what's the most irritating part of the process to bare witness to in my opinion..

Hey if you sue to make pot legal in the U.S. on basis that it is used in the rastafarian religion...that might be okay? It would make it legal nationally and it is used in the practice of two religions that I know of? One is from India? How to legalize pot nationally is the fact that it is used in a religion? Just and idea for NORML or some other group as a real legal approach to legalization nationally? Everybody will be free someday. : )

Nice video but I disagree that one doesn't have to dread to be a rasta, one's dread is the crown also, represents who you are

Dreadlocks ARE NOT an exclusive African American hairstyle. It is seen in American Indian and Asian Indian cultures. It can be worn by anyone. Just saying. LOL

YOU knew about dreadlocs after RASTAs started wearing them. PERIOD. The first thing white people do when they see something they like from black people is attribute it to another culture so they can claim it doesn't belong to them. Boxer braids are now a Kardashian style, Cornrows are really Bo Derek braids and dreadlocks came from Asians.
