It makes me feel better knowing you also work full time too! I have a regular full time job and then run a little Etsy shop and eventually want to do cons. I’ve been trying to also build up my stuff too. I mainly sell stickers and stationary. I can’t imagine sewing all that stuff!! I’m surprised you don’t charge more for your shirts too given they’re handmade.
I hope you take the plunge to do cons! It's a great experience. In terms of charging, I want as many people to be able to wear my clothes as I can, which can hopefully build more connections to my shop. But anyway, having two full-time jobs is exhausting isn't it?!

I don't remember seeing your booth despite being fairly close (I was 900 aisle) even though I tried to go see every booth when I could get away from my table. But yes I feel your pain about empty tables because almost every event I've been to I've been cursed by empty tables next to me which makes people uninterested in going fully down the aisle. It's sad, and I hope that any convention will be quick to try to fix such situations so that everyone can have a great time. I also changed my layout on day two cause I was clearly not feeling my first setup. I really enjoy seeing other people discuss cons ive been to or plan on going to so thank you for making this video.

how is the art scene in Philly? My partner and I have spoken about potentially moving up that way from FL, but it seems like the focus in the local industries leans heavier towards museums and graphic design - just wondering how illustrators are actually fending

I don't blame you! The Artist/Exhibitor area was HUGE. I plan on doing more Philadelphia cons next year. My next two are Flame Con in NYC and Baltimore Comic con in Maryland
