Being immune to poison is why the rusty spear or the toenail scimitar are so good for this fight and in the game in general. They do really good damage and nothing is immune to infection
A thing I found out is that with the blood bag heals. You don't need to look down to use them. You can press your block button to just drop it and it's way faster than throwing it and it costs less stamina I think?
i used the healing build (sleek lady bug armor set), tick sword, fire ant shield and for mutetion a used buff lungs, meat shield, cardio fan, corporate kickback, coup de grass. I also used black ox burger, the one that increase the chances for critical hits and also used a lot of smoothies
@@bountyhunterbearmanpiggy the meals with 1 effect can replace 1 of the effects on meals with 2 effect but you will keep the other one. As long as you eat the Black Ox Burger first, the Spider Slider's crit chance buff will replace the Ox Burger's 2% damage resistance and you keep the Ox Burger's secondary extra health effect.
i just beat it on whoa after 4h and my best tip is using corporate kickback mutation it has saved me a looot! also shocking dismissal was really helpful for giving urself some breathing room in phase 3 as she will flinch from the charged attacks! my shield almost broke and i only used it on 2nd and 3rd phase so be sure to bring some repair materials! gl out there!
If you are looking for a good healing item, beefy green machines are one of the best. They are cheap to make, easy to gather a lot of materials for and give hyper stamina. As for other smoothies, use sticky on things such as liquid rage and boost juice. As for food, I use black ox burger, spider slider, and fungospatcho, as they stack together.
few tips i have learned hope this helps. 1 stand to the right of the summoner wall, not in the den, across from the water, the bombs wont hit u to often over there, 2, even tho poison and bleed arent fantastic against her, the fresh, rusted spear an ladybird shield did great against her, an 3 at phase 3 dont move, focus on healing and blocking, the super fast flurry is devistating an so fast the game doesnt even register ur hp dropping visualy an u can die thinking youre at half, so just spam block to the sounds she makes, finaly, shes just mean, she will spawn minions but will blow them up so dont worry about them, just dont chase her, she will come to you and use those moments to heal
0:37 just wanted to point out, anybody who is playing Grounded and knows of the IBM, can actually see its nest opened when turning off the Haze it viewed near the start of the cutscene
I'd recommend using Roly Poly armor down bulky path, fresh tick sword + ladybird shield, shield solidifier trinket. mutations use meat shield, coup de grass, blademaster, hyperstamina, and the 5th you can choose whatever. Fights not hard at all with that setup once you know her attack combos and you don't need to perfect block at all in the fight.
@@JadePGC The issue I've always seen with the gas mask is that yes, it may reduce explosion damage but you're taking a huge loss in defense compared to wearing a regular helmet. You also lose the set bonus of your armor. I tested gas mask when dealing with infected wolf spiders and found the (20%?) explosion resistance wasn't worth it compared to the defense loss by not using my roly poly helmet.
I'd love to give this thing a shot. Though in the meantime I'm still unable to kill Mantis on Whoa difficulty and am slowly losing hope that it's possible to melee it. Maxed Roly Poly armor and maxed Salt Morning Star.
No I mean resistance, spicy is 75% so that would mean weak to it, if that was the case which it isn't, 25% resistance means its only 25% resistante. Candy damage stacks on top of normal. So you still get 75% of the damage, jeeze how about you read the link I put in instead of trying to correct me with wrong info

That particular fact in the video was confusing. If you have a 25% resistance to fresh then it sounds better to use the mighty upgrade path or use sour. No resistance to sour was reported. Why use anything that has a damage resistance if you can use something with no damage resistance at all? The wiki says you do +25% damage with fresh though and -50% damage for salty/-75% damage for spicy. So, fresh sounds like the upgrade path to take over mighty or sour due to damage increase.
i use bulky fireant set, i only use 12 green potions, compared use sleek fireant set i need at least 60 potions 😂. weapons fresh toenail sword is the best choice, with fireant shield ofc.

@@JadePGC its multiplicative not additive, so it would be lower than 22%, i asked sean and he confirmed, hence why when i had 52 stacks at one point healing items didnt dmg me, cause if its additive it would've been 104%

I do phase 1 mint mace parry heal, 2nd phase parry heal fire ant shield minty toenail sword, 3rd phase shield solid ant toenail sword and fire ant shield
The thing is, the boss fight in itself isn’t really hard as in learning the mechanics(the haze and the bombs) its more of the speed she get on her last phase
Is it actually possible to block her combos in the 3rd phase with a 2 handed weapon? I haven't yet fought her but from the videos of people fighting her, it looks near impossible.
I was trying to figure out how to destroy T3 gum nuggets... Least I know now. I'll get to fighting her once I get some supplies together. Got the sandwiches already.

Her armor and weapon is really good against general enemies, but its useless againts bosses. They should get out the explosive resistance against the bosses. Unless they does it, its useless
does the blaster also remove the need for an axe? ive been using mine to harvest lint, clovers, grass, stems, food bits, etc. curious if theres anything it cant chop?
Guys you don't have to duplicate the meal, just turn off auto save and manually save before the fight. I have it saved in that spider cave with everything that I need to fight it... If I lose I just simply reload my last save through the menu.
Duplicating is still the move even if you can beat her. She does not drop anywhere enough resources to craft any of the armor/weapon/furniture from her, even with luck buffs. You're going to have to kill her 2-3 times before you can craft the blaster. So yes duplicate the meal because this is a boss you're going to have to fight over and over again if you want any of her items, and this is sped up when you don't have to run through the 3 other bosses in between each kill. And if you respect her attacking the fight is not hard at all, just hard. To play it safe just trade combos with her. Hit 3 times, block, let her attack, hit 3 times, block, repeat the entire fight.
I've 100% every souls like game to come out on Xbox and fighting her on whoa mode gives a lot of souls bosses a run for their money. Definitely not the hardest boss ever, but for a game like this is crazy
Dark Souls players are the worst. Why is everything a competition to these people? I've played all the DS games and yeah, they're difficult. But difficulty is subjective. This boss, in this particular game, is hard and I would put it up there with some of the difficulty found in DS games.
I'm thinking she's not worth it, you don't get anything from beating her and fighting her is too expensive. I don't care for bragging rights because I'm a Whoa player. I'll wait for the nerf.
I've resorted to beating everything on Whoa! at least once. In terms of farming bosses at least, for everything after that, I switch to Mild since otherwise it just gets too tedious and I don't need to prove myself anything anymore.
Oh, and don't forget that the devs have a history of actually making bosses even harder in follow up patches instead of nerfing them. I just managed to beat the Wasp Queen today and I've heard that she was actually easier before.

I did It the same way in whoa. The trick is to pass phase 1 and 2 hitless and destroy her fast in phase 3

Yea, the only damage that i take before the 3rd phase is the gad cloud because I'm only really good at timing and not reaction time.

The sleek gas mask is bugged. Even though it says so, it does nothing to reduce explosion damage. Hopefully its been fixed in this last patch.
Also bards perks inflicts venom and poison to self if wearing brood mother gear
pretty sure it has, when i live-streamed it for sure was helping with explosions

As someone who worked lady bug armor(maxed) and a brood mother club(maxed) just doing bonk power it will work but you need to buff like crazy

I found if your on single player and your low just go into your inventory and drink the smoothies there as it is paused and you wont be as vulnerable.

This is a reminder if you have the collecter rare iteams mutation put it on and you will have to fight her 4-5 times to get full armor and weapon

You really only need to beat her once. After that just duplicate the items
each of the parts cost 5000 raw science to dupe once so it's not worth it unless you're rich

Infected Broodmother was kind of easy, it didn't give me PTSD like The Pursuer, or Smough and Ornstein, or The Nameless King 😂
