The body language was up, energy was high and the hunger to generate wickets was unlike anything in this series. Even Siraj (who was struggling in previous tests) found a good line and length in this session. Every bowler beat the bat, bowled hard lines and were charged up. The reason was Kohli leading the proceedings. Every time the camera was on him, you could see him setting fields, talking to bowlers, giving them feedback, making adjustments and being the Kohli we knew before 2021. Rohit could be see looking confused and doubtful. Virat was India's test captain, is and will always will be. He is needed as a leader. Rohit is just absent, clueless, defensive and only passes comments on his own players. India had reduced Aus to 91/6. That should tell you what Virat is capable of when he leads. That one session is what I missed in India test matches in the last couple of years.

Pat cumins definitely worried about losing game, otherwise they would have declared with 45 mins to go. I think india not batting those 12-13 overs is great positive. Now, there will not be any pressure. They have to bat out a day, just a day, if we don't lose a wkt for first 30 overs ind will win, if they lose 1 or 2 they should look for a draw. everyone forgot to mention one thing aus 2nd batting is poor n ind is batting well in 2nd innings. So, all positives, just got to dig in, still a great pitch to bat on. 😊

However if they have declared tonight they might have had an edge already. Ofcourse they are still in box seat. But if they lose from here they can only blam themselves

The Waughs/Pontings would had declared at Aus lead of 250 pretty well knowing that Indian batting is lacking confidence. We keep talking abt Gabba chase & it is a phenomenal victory - no doubt but the major difference between the team then and now is, that was a young inexperienced team who lacked fear.. In African Savannah, you can see at times, young lions launching an attack on a huge elephant or a hippo bcoz they have nothing to lose. Experience doesnt weigh them down.. Here, India chasing 260-270 would had been a challenge.
