HOW TO MAKE BAG STRAPS LESS STRETCHY: I have had problems with this in the past. Instead of making your chain the width of your strap, make your chain the length of the strap. When you add more lines, those are weak points, so it stretches. For example you might've done 8 chain stitches for your chain. Instead (if you want over the shoulder) you could do do 50 chain stitches long wise (50 varies) so the tension is on each line of your work, not where the layers/lines are connected. I'm not a professional or anything. But I thought I would share because it has seemed to work for me. Happy crocheting everyone! ❤️❤️🧶🧶
Thank you so much for taking the time to say mo hair isnt ethical and cruelty free!! I know it wasnt much you said but I'm really glad I know that before buying any. It really is something to obsess over, mo hair is becoming so popular!
I mean its not ethical but i dont think the dupe she uses is anymore ethical bc (im assuming) its polyester and if its cheap the labor going into it is also unethical. Not to say like that means shes wrong for getting it but i think its really reductive to just be like mohair=bad.
I think its just basically for the bust u just make 8 purple rows of double crochet and 1 white row of double crochet, and for the part with holes its basically just attach white yarn to your top, and then triple crochet, chain two, skip two and then triple crochet and just continue until you went around, and just chain up 6, skip 2 and triple crochet and continue. And for the purple lining at the bottom i think its just double crochet all around
to make that green bag less stretchy, chain down both sides of the strap! and i'd recommend using a slightly smaller hook than you used to make the bag:)
Totally inspirational! I get hot in the winter and usually just wear a tshirt under my coat and I just realized that maybe arm warmers will help keep the cool air from coming up my sleeve without having to wear a sweater!!!
I make my bag straps less stretchy by crocheting with two strands instead of just one! It just makes it thicker and tighter :) also I love your videos! you’re one of my favorite people who crochet on youtube
Aaa i love the beomgyu bunny hat! May i ask, do you have a pattern for it (or where you got the pattern)?:) Edit: i just saw it in the desc. Thank you!
the first mesh vest you made is amazing, how did you become comfortable with freehanding items like this? if anyone has an idea of how to make it let me know
hi hi!!! i do have an idea if you ae still interested :) first i think you should start off with measuring your body or a shirt you really like. I recommend measuring your chest all the way around and divide that in half for your body panels. I recommend learning how to mesh stitch it is super easy here is a video: ruclips.net/video/MBMzqLkryMc/видео.html . With your body panel I recommend making the ribbed portion first, super simple as well (tutorial : ruclips.net/video/D8H3lrvm-sQ/видео.html *me personally i love a half double crochet stitch and sometimes if you feel fancy size down a hook size so it is tighter, but all in all its just fine details*) from your ribbed portion, you can make it however wide you want it, and after you reach up to 1/2 your body measurement ch 1 and single crochet on the side of the ribbed portion to an odd number i think (double check on the mesh tutorial* ps if you did not like that one just google any other one and they should work*) and work up that mesh stitch to your armpits. from here you can keep doing what you previously did up to your shoulders but if you want a better armpit fit i recommend decreasing (tutorial :ruclips.net/video/PyysFgBh_dY/видео.html) to the middle of your arm( it makes more sense if you look at a shirt, notice the curve it has one you reach your armpit, your trying to mimic that) and then work your regular mesh stitch again. Repeat for the back, on hers she made the back a little longer, so it is up to you if you would like to do that as well. for the neck and shoulders, uhm i would single crochet to finish it off, you can rib it if you like but it has to be a lot less wider than the bottom one, then it might be tedious to sew on but it is def do-able. If you have any questions please comment I can try to make things more clear!! I hope you have fun !!
Something that I like to remember that might help you is that if you mess up or it looks bad, you can always unravel your project and restart. You can try as many times as you want and you still won't lose any yarn. Also all the trial and error will be worth it in the end when you have a brand new original and unique piece.
i just started crocheting a couple days ago! these are all so cute :) id love to make the shirt that matches your purple arm warmers if you have a pattern for it
it was freehanded im sorry:( it's essentially a rectangle that is sinched at the chest and loose mesh crochets at the bottom! (triple ch, ch 1, skip a st) and added straps
