      Those two are the protectors for the mortar group.

      You are supposed to hold the legs in the front while you're shooting to keep the legs as steady as possible (makes you shoot the 2nd, 3rd, 4th faster. This was probably equalizing shot atleast I hope so otherwise they're wasting so much time...

      ​@@neverheardofyouevery video I have seen of the Ukrainians firing mortar is just like this, as if they are afraid of the mortar tube, and probably not set up correctly.

      First of all the legs are way too much in front which do not provide any stability when firing..I don't wanna see then shooting when the ground is frozen..
