Came here to pay my respects to Derek Jones. A few years back, this band touched me deep, combining punk, emo, and symphonic melodies to create masterpieces. I always listened to the Derek's parts, and he is why I am where I am in guitar today. Rest in Peace Derek :(

The reason why they are similar is because with Ozzy, you can go back through all his old stuff and find gem after gem after gem. Same with Ronnie. Caleb Macleod I love Ronnie's voice, but he's really egotistical, from what I can see. I think this song is about Escape the Fate kicking him out of the band when he had to go to rehab, and basically saying "I'm the reason you existed in the first place, you're nothing without me".

Also, about me saying Ronnie was "egotistical, that was more specifically in response to the lyric "You'll see, it was always me", which to me basically interprets to "I AM the band. You are NOTHING without me.", which, to me, sounds very egotistical.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying he's an asshole, or an untalented twat, or anything. I do like both Escape the Fate (with Ronnie) and Falling in Reverse, mostly due to Ronnie's singing voice.
The older I get the more relevant these lyrics falling in reverse puts out become. I swear he says shit that I wouldn't have thought twice about when I was 14
