Today, we walk through the magnificent grounds of the Grand Memories Sanctuary resort in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba.
This exclusive resort is located on an incredible powdery white sand beach bordered by beautiful turquoise blue waters.
The Grand Memories Sanctuary resort is an adult only (ages 18 and over) all inclusive resort. Guests of the resort also have access to all bars, restaurants and other amenities of the Grand Memories Santa Maria and Grand Memories Paraiso.

Like any resort, it has it's pluses and minuses but the beach is one of the nicest I have been to (so far).

It was a very relaxing place
The service was great at this resort. I have it on my return list.
I especially loved to walk on the looong beach there. Kind of reminds me of Pigeon Point but much longer. ;-)

Went there in December 2019. Not bad but the extra you pay for the butler service at your habitation bloc is totaly useless. It's like if they're only there to do your resto a la carte reservations and for the tips they're hoping from you. For the beauty and the cleanliness of the site and the rooms and the kindness of the staff we prefer way much more the STARFISH.
We were looking to book the Starfish but then we saw the Grand Memories and booked it instead (our room was in the Sanctuary section but we didn't get the butler service for some reason). Maybe we will try the Starfish next time :-) Thanks for stopping by!
Is there a disco on the resort? Is it open every night?
They didn't have one when we were there but they did have live entertainment. I do believe that there was one disco as well as a few restaurants in the Estrella market which is only a few minutes walk outside the Memories resorts. (between the Memories and Royalton)

Do they have kayaks or mini sail boats how do you get one for the day ?
Yes, they do. They are both part of the "all inclusive" plan.
High season:
You have access to somewhere around one hour of kayak per day. The small catamarans are "piloted" by a dive shop employee and you get one +/-20 minute "ride" per day.
Low season: you could probably get away with longer periods for both since there are less people at the hotel.
So you can't pilot the catamarans? A guide needs to?

that isn't the sanctuary one guys, it's another resort next to it that's cheaper

You are incorrect (unless they have made changes since time of filming). Sanctuary is part of a bigger complex that includes: Grand Memories Paraiso, Grand Memories and Grand Memories Sanctuary. They do share some amenities (Sanctuary guests have access to all three resorts). The present video does in fact depict the "Sanctuary" part of the complex.

It looks like a great place.
The setting is incredible but, like most places in Cuba, the hotel would greatly benefit from some updating.
