Mine too. Favorite used to be Wind Waker's depicting the events of OoT with a badass background music. Didn't think it would ever be topped but here we are.
@TheKatracho101 hilariously, i hate the Windwaker intro. For the soul reason that my original copy, as a kid, had a scratch on the disk so the game would freeze half way through the intro. But i was so desperate to play, I'd just restart it hoping it would get through the into to no avail. So now i have PTSD every time i hear those first few pan flute notes 😂
Link when Ganondorf destroyed the Master Sword & took away almost all his hearts: “Oh come on! Do you know how many shrines I had to do to get those?!”
When Ganondorf spoke in this cutscene….and gradually arched his neck around to look at Zelda/Link, awesome! Gave me goosebumps when he called out their names and Zelda is like “wtf who are you!”, been such a long time they forgot the actual guy behind the malice, but he definitely never forgot them, being held there against his will for so long.
Also the crazy part is little Zelda and Link knew that Link and Zelda defeated the wrong entity that the calamity ain't the real Ganon that Ganondorf tricked the whole kingdom into thinking that the calamity is the true threat to the kingdom

(That’s just my theory about Calamity Ganon btw I got no idea since I’m at the start of the game still.)

I’m actually happy they broke it. Nearly every Zelda game usually involves getting the Master Sword to defeat evil. Yet in this game they immediately destroy it, the Master sword has finally been defeated by evil.
Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this, but I love seeing Zelda geek out over the painted depictions of Hyrule past while Link is just silently letting her nerd out. Reminds me of whenever I geek out about my interests and my mom or my friend just sit and nod 😂 They really did make this version of her feel more human. she and SS are my favorite Zeldas
Jumping and skydiving for the first time into the air while the nostalgic yet refreshed music trickled in after coming home from the midnight launch at GameStop is an experience I will never forget…

If anything the actual oot reference was when ganondorf destroys the master sword the sound that plays is so similar to the start of a battle theme in oot
The opening feels like it has some horror elements as Zelda laid out the terror of the Demon King. The music even sounds like it would fit in a John Carpenter film.
They did a phenomenal job with Ganondorfs theme music. That distorted, synthesised chanting with the drums has not lost its eeriness in the years since E3 2019.
I'm surprised they went so far as to say Link lost his arm. I thought they would have subverted that outcome by saying the arm merged with his own and healed it in the process.
The dev team wanted actually to amputate his arm as far as BotW, as seen in Creating a champion. They seriously wanted this link to have a cool prosthetic arm from the beginning. Which he now got
@@theakiwar9118 I remember them mentioning that after the game came out. I'm glad they went with it. It gives this Link a very interesting and distinct physical trait that no other iteration has had. It also shows that Ganon is far more deadly that we've seen in the past if he's able to wield malice like that. Link was only trapped in its grasp for a few seconds and his arm was completely messed up.
22:12... This is what I came for, the best opening ever. I already loved this music from that one trailer where he opens the big doors and then jumps off, and to have it here with the title logo and then finishing with the splash as the music builds to it's climax... omg.
I love this opening, but one of my favorite things is how Zelda gets so excited about the murals on the walls and Link just takes her torch without her even having to ask so she can get pictures. I don't know, I just find it cute. Even though we don't see much of them together, I like when bits of their personalities and relationship shine through.
The way the music all but stops when you hit the water.... Goosebumps!!! It's like an auditory representation of how we've felt waiting for this game. This huge build up, then.... calm. The wait is over, the gates are open, the world is yours.
That's what Nintendo games are for. I love every main gaming brand as much as the next guy, but Nintendo games are so good to relax after experiencing the stress of adult life. I wish you much luck in your work ! I hope the next days are easier than this one :)

I was very surprised when I realized I had already been playing for almost 30 minutes and still had barely finished the intro sequence, the longest and coolest intro to any game I've played
The opening section lowkey felt as if Zelda and Link were exploring the chernobyl power plant lol. With all of the "contamination" around and the mystery of what they will find inside.
25 years. From Link & Zelda oddly standing in the middle of the matte blue sky just chatting in the ending cutscene of Ocarina of Time To the adventure & wonder & beauty of the moment at 22:20. A quarter century can do a lot.

I just freakin love the instantaneous realization it’s the breath of the wild sequel you’re playing once you jump off and that familiar piano plays But then it builds to something even GRANDER. And you realize “OH SHOOT IT’S REAL”
The moment Link jumps at 22:15 is one of the greatest memories I have had in 20 years+ of playing video games, I had literally tears in my eyes during the skydive

PRECISELY!! i was laying in bed a few minutes ago and was thinking about the dragon you see in the opening cutscene, so i had to see it again just to confirm that it was the light dragon and not farosh like i originally had thought when i played this opening
By the end of the next week someone will manage to break the game and pull himself out of the cave and facing the final boss with all his hearts and the Master Sword
Best opening to a game since the OG Final Fantasy 7. This game is special, and be well to enjoy this moment in time when we get something this magical.

I am most of the way through the game came back to watch the full opening for the game. This was the most epic Zelda kickoff ever. Its starts right into it and ganondorf is absolutely terrifying its almost a horror game at some points I love it.

The music has this subtle buildup and them it smacks you so unexpectedly, some dust inevitably got in my eyes when doing the dive, not only for the hype but more for the accents, so simple yet powerful, and while open to interpretation I could feel I was in for THE greatest adventure of all time
I love how the music progresses as you descend down. Starting with little whispers, one or two notes then we get the full score as you go down that final tunnel.

This was so, so amazing to see for the first time. Really sucks you in. A masterclass in setting tone, atmosphere and immersion.
The way it sets you up jumping into pools of increasing depth to teach you how to avoid fall damage from great heights is amazing.
