Dear Rachel, dear Nikki, I am so happy that you started your online classes. As a medium advanced sewist, I appreciate them so much, I live in Germany and wouldn't have to attend your class in person. My favourite one is the overlocker class.
You girls are an inspiration, I have just treated myself to a sewing machine and enrolled in your classes so thankyou for passing on all your knowledge
I've always admired the both of you not only because of your stellar sewing skills and great style, but because of your friendship. It's so important to find friends in adulthood who share the same passions and values as you, and I have truly enjoyed watching your videos for years!
So lovely to watch this ladies 😁💞... somehow I missed this one. So glad it popped up again 🙏. It was great hearing how you guys met and grew together 💕. It's no wonder that you two are such a great fit and compliment each other so much and that you have been such a success. You have always been a joy to watch since I found you on you tube years ago and you continue to inspire me 😁👌....thanks ladies and looking forward to more loveliness from you both 💖💖💖😘
Thank you for all of your support Sally, we really appreciate your comments and likes. We know how lucky we are and thought it was about time we shared our story again (can you believe we are at nearly 40k followers!!)
Enjoyed learning of your differences in your processes and concepts. Its all fun when you both share your enthusiasms. Great fun and motivating for us viewers. Thank You, both!!!
This was excellent. I really enjoyed getting to know you a little bit and learning your story. So many of us who sew have started one way or another. I started as a child in a textile family and dropped it picked it up dropped it etc. and now I’m really looking for classes online where I can learn much more about how to fit my 70 year old body. Thanks so much. looking forward to taking some of your classes
You two are are great! I laugh and sigh at the same time. Thanks! Your stories resonate with most watchers! Right now I have to watch the wool episode again. My country is freezing right now, but I think I'll wait for some hot pink or bright yellow wool coating to come along...
Thank you, I have been following you since you started but love your special friendship and the way you react with each other, has been lovely to watch you together as always.
I love the geeking and the wallowing descriptions. I can now feel clearer about what’s going on with me just now. As a teenager, I made stuff to wear ASAP, the brighter and bolder the better, but then it was the seventies, lol. Now, at 66, Returning to sewing during the first UK lockdown, I’ve surprised myself in the huge difference in how I now do things. Though still very much a learner again, I am doing your shirt course and watch and re-watch, and re-watch again, that has given me the confidence to work stuff out for myself now, and reinforces the feeling that I’m making good progress on projects that stretch me, and I find that I’m congratulating myself, lol, celebrating my small wins, and feeling great that I’m achieving better results, including patience with mistakes, arduous, unpicking and restructuring tasks etc etc!! I have loved having you two on my journey with me as inspiring ‘mentors’ and bright and cheery ‘sewing mates’, lol x Thanks for this lovely personal video, Susan x
We know exactly what you are saying! We still make mistakes and the unpicker is still our friend! It’s all a learning process, just enjoy the process and seeing your skills improve. Do leave us a review for the shirt class if you enjoyed it 😍
I enjoyed this video. I think that I have watched you from the beginning and so knew most of your story but still enjoyed it all over again. I have bought some of your classes and have found them invaluable. Thanks for doing these videos and long may they continue.
Thank you for watching us from the beginning Christine! We are now at nearly 40k followers so we felt it was time we register our history for the newbies, but we appreciate everyone who likes, watches and follows us. Thank you
Hey up! Its SO good to see you both. I met you at a coat making workshop in Bristol and my beautiful coat gets compliments every time I wear it so I think of you both a lot! Watching this with a cup of coffee and its making me smile xxx
Thank you for sharing your story, it was very insightful. Special events like a sewing weekender would be great. I’m sure you will get a lot of interest.
So enjoyed this, really interesting getting to know a little bit more about you. Looking forward to any new classes for the future. I know they will be excellent has I already have a few and they are so good and informative. You two ladies really are the best :) Maybe in the future a book would be fabulous. I can just see you both now on the front cover in the brightest colours ever. xx
What a brilliant video! I listened with rapt attention as you described your individual and joint sewing stories. How wonderful to have forged such a strong and creative bond 😊 Thank you so much for sharing!
Your story is still moving and inspiring. Have been following you for several years, so most wasn’t new. Still nice to hear. One question: next time could you show the questions just a little bit longer or repeat the question verbally? It was too quick to read them. Could guess it out of the comversation. So not major, but it did interrupt without adding much, if you get what I mean. Still 💕💕💕
It’s time for another Socialite Soirée! I’m traveling with Larry all over England in the month of June. We hope to see you both too! Am I right - did I take the last class that you ever taught (Santa doorstop)? Also, just curious Nikki - our Fat Quarters are 18 x 22 inches. Is that the measurement of yours? I miss Old Sodbury and The Dog Inn too. Happy Memories. Going on RUclips with your sewing was what brought me to England. You were the first RUclipsr that was into sewing that I watched which started a whole new lifestyle for me! Thank you both. Hugs from Oregon.
Love watching you both.. Have you thought about doing any more of the "get the look" seasonal videos you did before lockdown i.e. trousers, skirts, dresses? I really enjoyed those.
Yes we have thought about them but covid has gotten in the way for the last couple of years. This year we really wanted to do spring season but our online classes have taken a priority slot! There’s just not enough time ! 🤣
👍👏🏼👏🏼🥳🥳🥳🥰🤣 U two ladies are hilarious funny and very smart have enjoyed watching you n learning from you. Wishing u lots of success m love 💕 nice nice story if ur beginnings 🥳🥳👏🏼👏🏼
Lovely to know your beginnings. I discovered your channel as a lifelong home sewer (and fashion school dropout) and had no idea about the classes. I just always loved your friendship and your energy, and watching your episodes is always entertaining!
You have different accents?!? I never noticed! I’m just a silly American!😂. I love both of you, your personalities, and your styles! Keep it up! Love to see a new video pop up!👏👏
Lovely video. I listened as I sewed :) I have a question - what did you both think you wanted to be when you were younger? Did you always hope to have creative jobs?
Gillian I can assure you I didn’t have black eyes and yes everything is perfect at home. It may have just been the lighting or me doing my make up differently. In the months that this video has been posted we have not had any comments like this, except this one. Please think before posting comments like this, I realise that you are concerned but this comment is not justified and I found it very upsetting this morning.
Love you ladies, you are both beautiful!
