Anyone else get that feeling of watching a horror movie seeing Beckett standing there with the bloody scalpel? Especially with the background music. When she turned around I was expecting something to happen that would make me jump out of my skin.
I think that was the whole point. Beckett was in real trouble, i couldnt believe she even thought of a way to get out of her predicament with scratching at the straps. She was sure she was going to die, and this woman was going to do a whole "face/off" job on her, steal her identity, her looks, etc and harm those that she loved. Hell of a scene

Loved this scene. This might be my new favorite episode. The look on Kate's face as she started to get up off the bed as well as Nieman's when she realized that she couldn't overpower Kate awesome. Just so awesome. I just realized this. Castle's scene when Tyson was killed is almost exactly like this one. At first 3XK thought he had outsmarted Castle and had Castle right where he wanted him, but then Castle showed that no I outsmarted you Tyson and right where I want you to be. Tyson looked shocked, scared and then dead. Nieman thought that I have Kate right where I want her. She was thinking "I'm going to kill you Beckett and there is nothing you can do about it." Then when Kate got free and grabbed Nieman's arm, the look on Kate's face was, "I have you right where I want you. I'm going to kill you Nieman and there is nothing you can do about it." Then Nieman's face went from shocked, scared and then dead.
From 2:08 to 2:15 I was like : who is that?she's no beckett , she's the devil.Truly I was scared but in the same time happy to see here react. Nieman and 3xk were tough but caskett are tougher and they can be very dangerous .casket has a dark side, very dark.Thank god they serve the law.
At 2:12 the intense look in Kate's eyes and the sound effects blew me away...Bad ass Becket..."Bitch I don't think so"...Kate went "Seal team 6" on her ass...best Castle yet!!!...some shows become dried up for story line...Castle is getting better...Nathan and Stana are the perfect match...can't wait till next Tuesday..

Loved this episode was on the edge of my seat the entire way through! The only bit though that let it down was Castle calling her "Beckett" because in the past in times of serious situations they have both used each others first names. I don't know that's the only thing that really annoyed me and it is the same in this scene, I would have liked them to use each others first names as it is more intimate.
I did too, at first, but I was wrong. It is "Beckett"--the cop, the hand of justice--who saved herself with only a scalpel and was left standing traumatized in a pool of blood. It was "Beckett" who had to transition back through her fragile reentry into the precinct, then turn to Castle for help as the only person who understood because he had suffered much the same trauma. She only made it back to "Kate" when she could clutch his shirt for comfort and close her eyes, trusting that she would sleep without nightmares, secure in Castle's arms.
Castle and Beckett in this episode truly show that , had they not have been in the side of the law , they could have led a life as Lucifer's two halves .

I have a theory based on becketts awkward calmness to Castle approaching her. But it is flawed since we as viewers have limited knowledge of the show. Castle and the NYPD got there pretty quickly after learning her location. Yet she broke free righr after Tysons assumed death. WHAT IF....Nieman quickly completed the surgery and is posing as Beckett. Real Beckett could still be hidden while the body on the floor could be another victim made to look like Nieman. This could open up a lot of possibilities, such as 3XK surviving the wound OR Mike Bodroau (or whatever) was convinced to pretend to be Tyson there. After all, the "Tyson" that died was a little less cocky when a slight change on the plan occured. And isn't Tyson more careful than falling for a sniper in the woods? ESPECIALLY with Castle coming "alone"?

Okay, I need to bring up something about this: I will definitely agree that that fiery death look in her eyes definitely gave me chills when I first saw this when it had just come out, but I want to really point out the bigger elephant in the room: when the guys came rushing in to help her, and they see her standing back away from them, and just after you see that drop of blood off of the scalpel, OH MY GOD, the way she was standing over Niemann’s dead body, and I mean very dead, she doesn’t even flinch, and that gave me chills just from seeing this scene again after a few years just now. He had "his moment" with Tyson. Beckett is a trained cop and NYC's best detective. She doesn't need to be saved by her husband. She doesn't need to be saved by anyone. Castle had enough "hero moments" in the past...where he jumped on killers,almost took a bullet for Beckett and so on...but at the end of the day he is a WRITER and not a trained cop who can walze into a room with a weapon in his hand so he can save his wife who is more than capable to take care for herself. Castle found her and that should be enough.
Does anyone realize that the women was taking Kate's face to look like her so it is plausible that the girl who is dead is the real Beckett and the girl alive is the women trying to take her face. I know it is really unlikely considering all that happened after but it's really cool to think about
She could have Beckett's face, but not her memories, her mannerisms, etc. Basically ANYONE (Castle, Ryan, Esposito, Gates, Lanie, Alexis, Martha and so on) could figure out the imposture with 1-2 strategically chosen questions.
These two part episodes show how good of antagonist Beckett and Castle would've been if they weren't good people. Loved every second of these episodes.

Beckett wouldn't serve a single day in jail.The CCTV evidence shows her bound and gagged;any reasonable person would believe that their life was in danger. The law is based on what a reasonable person would do.
Assuming that Dr. Neiman had any relatives when she fell under the bad influence of Neiman's psychotic boyfriend,they would be so ashamed of her for being on the side who kidnapped and killed some women and had helped kidnapped Castle's beloved wife,Kate Beckett,and tried to remove her face and have so that she would go into hiding and no-one would know where she went. thank goodness Beckett broke free and made Neiman pay after Beckett's husband made the bad guy pay.

I have watched this series like many times i have all the episodes of this series downloaded and saved in my hard disc.it all started with season 3 an episode where the victim was posed in a park i guess covered in caramel sauce.i watched the whole episode and that's all it needed me to hook on this series.
Even if Castle and those cops behind him had seen Beckett & Dr. Neiman catfighting, would they watch or break it up before telling her that her evil boyfriend is dead? It would've been good for Beckett to see that rogue doctor handcuffed and then getting either slapped in the face by Beckett or punched in the eye, nose or jaw to teach her for trying to remove Beckett's face and use it as her own before going on the run.
Rewatching this I had completely forgotten how it ended which was awesome cause it was like watching it for the first time again😂 I forgot that Castle played Tyson like that. So good! Started from the bottom now my whole team’s here! Castle had his backup locked and loaded I loved it! Ugh and Kate was spectacular I really wanted to see her whoop Nieman’s butt though.

I don’t think face transplants work as easily as this! They’re not even the same complexion. And there’s the recovery period… So she couldn’t have taken over Beckett’s identity from that point on. But I like your idea! It reminds me of Arya Stark becoming a Faceless Man and literally putting on people’s faces!
I always hated this scene. It was brilliant acted, and the tension was great, but 1 thing always got me. She managed to get one hand free(despite what she did being impossible without hours of work), so she used the free hand to grab the knife hand, but after that she would have been screwed. She could not get any of her other limbs free and Nieman still had full use of her faculties. She could have punched, kicked all day long and Beckett could do nothing to stop her, she could have reached back and grabbed another tool easily.She could not get the knife out of niemans hand as she grabbed her wrist. She could maybe twist, but not far. but then what, Nieman drops the knife conveniently in reach, then gives Beckett enough time, to pick it up and then cut the remaining ties, without Her doing anything. None of the potential scenarios I can come up with make the outcome that happened even slightly possible. It makes no sense.
Yes, back in season 6 episode 09, it was stated that dr. nieman had a black belt in judo. Can't believe how she gets easily killed by Beckett single-handed. The only explanation would be Beckett slices her throat by surprise.

Does anyone realize that the women was taking Kate's face to look like her so it is plausible that the girl who is dead is the real Beckett and the girl alive is the women trying to take her face. I know it is really unlikely considering all that happened after but it's really cool to think about

Beckett would‘ve liked to see Dr. Nieman cry after she found out that Nieman‘s boyfriend was killed after all the trouble he & Nieman did to Beckett & Castle. Even if Beckett and Nieman were still fighting when Castle and his friends came to rescue Beckett,Nieman would have lost the fight anyway.
Beckett wouldn't serve a single day in jail.The CCTV evidence shows her bound and gagged;any reasonable person would believe that their life was in danger. The law is based on what a reasonable person would do.

Assuming that Dr. Neiman had any relatives when she fell under the bad influence of Neiman's psychotic boyfriend,they would be so ashamed of her for being on the side who kidnapped and killed some women and had helped kidnapped Castle's beloved wife,Kate Beckett,and tried to remove her face and have so that she would go into hiding and no-one would know where she went. thank goodness Beckett broke free and made Neiman pay after Beckett's husband made the bad guy pay.

I have watched this series like many times i have all the episodes of this series downloaded and saved in my hard disc.it all started with season 3 an episode where the victim was posed in a park i guess covered in caramel sauce.i watched the whole episode and that's all it needed me to hook on this series.
Nobody in the entire show deserved to die more than Dr. Kelly Nieman.
Even if Castle and those cops behind him had seen Beckett & Dr. Neiman catfighting, would they watch or break it up before telling her that her evil boyfriend is dead? It would've been good for Beckett to see that rogue doctor handcuffed and then getting either slapped in the face by Beckett or punched in the eye, nose or jaw to teach her for trying to remove Beckett's face and use it as her own before going on the run.
I want to know what happened to their accomplice Amy Barrett. I like to think she suffocated in Castles trunk.
At the end, even though it is a smaller blade I thought of the image of River Tam in the Serenity movie after she takes care of all the Reavers.

Rewatching this I had completely forgotten how it ended which was awesome cause it was like watching it for the first time again😂 I forgot that Castle played Tyson like that. So good! Started from the bottom now my whole team’s here! Castle had his backup locked and loaded I loved it! Ugh and Kate was spectacular I really wanted to see her whoop Nieman’s butt though.
I want him to call her Kate, not Beckett. I mean, she is not Beckett anymore 😂

Beckett is so terrified in this episode. Nieman gives her creeps to her bones.
Plot twist: Beckett tried to fight but was overcome and killed. The other lady did a face operation and took Beckett's face and clothes.
I don’t think face transplants work as easily as this! They’re not even the same complexion. And there’s the recovery period… So she couldn’t have taken over Beckett’s identity from that point on. But I like your idea! It reminds me of Arya Stark becoming a Faceless Man and literally putting on people’s faces!

I always hated this scene. It was brilliant acted, and the tension was great, but 1 thing always got me.
She managed to get one hand free(despite what she did being impossible without hours of work), so she used the free hand to grab the knife hand, but after that she would have been screwed. She could not get any of her other limbs free and Nieman still had full use of her faculties. She could have punched, kicked all day long and Beckett could do nothing to stop her, she could have reached back and grabbed another tool easily.She could not get the knife out of niemans hand as she grabbed her wrist. She could maybe twist, but not far. but then what, Nieman drops the knife conveniently in reach, then gives Beckett enough time, to pick it up and then cut the remaining ties, without Her doing anything.
None of the potential scenarios I can come up with make the outcome that happened even slightly possible.

Yes, back in season 6 episode 09, it was stated that dr. nieman had a black belt in judo. Can't believe how she gets easily killed by Beckett single-handed. The only explanation would be Beckett slices her throat by surprise.

Whether or not Castle brought Kate to life in every way I found it very unfair to the character ca castle
