1997-1999 was an odd period for the Braves. It was a streak of some of their winningest teams yet they seemed to have some less recognizable faces filling positions for them like Quilvio Veras, Bret Boone, Michael Tucker and Keith Lockhart. It goes to show how strong their pitching was and just how dominant the household names were like the Joneses, Galarraga, Brian Jordan, Javy, etc.
Thank you for uploading this! I had this recorded on VHS when it first aired and it somehow got recorded over and I have been looking for it on here ever since! thank you !
I was lucky enough to visit Turner Field in 97 on a culinary convention trip, and loved it. Better than the Fulton Co. donut, for live fans. Both had terribe locations compared to the new one -whatever they call it this week.
God bless you for putting all these videos up. So many fond memories growing up a Braves fan in the 90's. RIP Skip.
Skip, Pete, Don, and Joe. Those were the days. Still hate TBS for taking away the Braves from the fans that don't live in or around Atlanta.
Same with WGN, which going to be an alleged unbiased news channel soon.

And didn't win shit
this brings back memories at how mad i was that jermaine dye was traded haha
Was it just me or did it look like Kenny looked like he knew damn well he was leaving after 97 😂
Braves got screwed with that Kenny Lofton trade
A baseball park for the ages. I guess that means 20 years.
It’s still up it’s used by Georgia State for football
Camden yards in Baltimore is a stadium for the ages as it's 32 years now I believe and still rated near the top
Skip Caray...voice of my childhood
DUDE. this is so dope! thank you
WOW, it lasted a whole 20 years. Must have been some ballpark. LOL.

Thank you SO much!
Classic 90's--reference the blimp cam only to have it malfunction.
Kenny Lorton was looking like "man I am so out of here".
And now its a football stadium, Pete Petit Field at Georgia State Stadium, which was also home to the Atlanta Legends of the short lived AAF
RIP Pete!
Those are the good old days
Does Anyone know who does those old TBS instrumentals, Sometimes they still play them before the games....
Oh, yeah. I remember Dye leaving. He totally went no where...
Turner Field is now football field for Georgia State.
I'm crying
14:00 What could've possibly been in the Rangers' museum at the time?
"Michael Tucker the equal of Jermaine Dye" Nope, not even remotely.
I am disappointed that they are going to leave Turner Field in 2017.
Railfan24 Sucks that they are going to put it in out of the suburbs, instead of having it at least within walking distance of MARTA.
Not on TV but if you are at The Ted
Phew, atleast it won't be demolished
It's now Georgia State's Football Stadum, also will be home to Atlanta's AAF team when they kick off in February 2019
Are they gonna take it down?
Georgia State.
Never liked Turner Field. They killed the spirit of the Braves when they left Fulton County Stadium.
Trading Dye was stupid
Skip!!!
