- We had so much fun in this video exploring all the wildlife and nature that currently exists in this location, and then taking a dive back in time to see what wildlife used to inhabit the area but no longer does. Fossil hunting for people like us is not a trophy hunt. It's much more. It's a way to explore and appreciate the different kinds of crazy wildlife that called this place home hundreds of thousands of years ago. Finding what these extinct animals left behind via their fossils is the next best thing to seeing them alive. It's the only way two people like us, passionate about nature, will ever be able to "observe" these animals in their natural habitat.

When my husband was alive we'd spend hours exploring the Suwanee and Santa Fe rivers in our boat. The scenery and wildlife was amazing. So love watching your videos. They bring back such wonderful memories.

I was never into fossils, or fossil hunting. I found your channel a couple years back, think through one of the prospectors or treasure hunters. I'm not sure what attracted me, but your now one of my favorite channels. My favorite part of your hunts are how you take the time to explain what each and every tooth and bone are. To the point that now I sit here watching and I'm calling out horse teeth, armadillo and turtle shells, sometimes even dugong fossils and I don't even know what the animal looked like. Thanks for being you. Your knowledge and natural urge to teach people are infectious. Keep up the good work and thanks for another awsome vid!

It seems like all of the dark fossilized pieces are significant on the river bottom and you just pick up a few, do you grab piles and go through them on land? You are amazingly smart so it's so nice to listen to you describe in detail. Beautiful art from Bri, she's good.
I’ve trained my eyes to ignore fragmented pieces of turtle shell or unidentifiable bone pieces. We do sometimes sift this material, but I find that the method we used in this video consistently yields way more finds.

Very relaxing watching the wildlife as you guys tour the river banks. Please include more wildlife filming. I live a few states north in NC. Therfore we have some of the same wildlife in our swamps. I can't walk my property or the surrounding land so watching your travels is a blessing.
