So I planted Quicksilver climbing rose 2021, it has never give me buds or blooming anything at all besides large green foliage, the ground is like clay so I mixed planting soil with compost, bought the fish fertilizer (heirloom roses website where I purchased my roses.) the plant gets about 8 hours of sun and still with everything that I did didn’t helped. What can I do to actually get this rose plant to grow/climb and bloom roses? Your help is very appreciate it. Thank you. Note: I’m in Kempner TX My roses are planted about six feet apart by themselves and the rest of my roses are thriving and blooming without a problem.
Excellent question! I thought about including detail about that and it's my mistake that I didn't. A sharpshooter shovel is long and narrow. A good one for going around roots when you want to plant (and other things). Great if you have a shrub that died--you can get deeper into the soil. I grabbed a picture from Amazon but don't see how to attach! Thank you! I'll be more careful in the future.
Great video! Very informative. I am curious if we in Central TX should be concerned with Rose Rosette Disease? I live in San Antonio and we have TONS of beautiful roses around town, but I am hesitant to plant something that won't make it past a few seasons.
I planted 4 varieties of hybrid tea roses in my garden down I'm Rockport, tx and they all did great against any diseases. You should be fine I worried about red rosette as well at first but make sure to treat it if something looks funky or check your watering schedule.
Sorry to be so late on this! There are Rose Rosette concerns but it's not so widespread that you shouldn't plant. All my roses are perfectly fine and so are those in various gardens we've visited.
Very informative video. Thank you so much.

Hi, u gave a lot of good information. I do have a question. What is a sharp shooter? I've never heard of this tool before. Please let me know. Thanks.

Very informative, thank you. Do deer eat roses?
Yes, sad to say.
