- Three of the endings from Samurai Warriors 3 dealing with the Summer Siege of Osaka Castle. Samurai Warriors 3's main theme is 'bonds'-- between family, friends, a lord and his master... and these endings demonstrate this relationship.
I said Ieyasu and Dong Zhuo are total opposites, which is almost totally untrue.
3 years later after writing this comment, I do still think that both Ieyasu Tokugawa and Dong Zhuo are remarkable people who managed to engrave their names on history.

All those things applied only in-game wise, not historical wise. Allow me to straighten up my own points, here.
EDIT: Ieyasu isolated Japan, thus isolated Christianity and pretty much other religions. Also, Nobunaga killed some religional leaders and at one point declared himself as a god. Hideyoshi attacked South Korea over and over only to be stopped singlehandedly by Admiral Yi-Sun Shin. I hope to know any other ridiculous things about other Daimyos especially Hideyoshi.

Nobody is the opposite to anybody, nor is similar to anybody. If they had total difference, Ieyasu died due to natural cause and had many retainers who were loyal to him, and some even served him after his death, while Dong Zhuo got betrayed and killed by his own trusted general. And if they had similarity, iirc, they historically only knew one defeat; Ieyasu at Mikatagahara against Shingen Takeda, and Dong Zhuo at Dagu against Sun Jian, but this could be misinformation. EDIT: Wait, no. Iirc, Ieyasu was also defeated by Hideyoshi on Komaki-Nagakute. Unless it wasn't true, then Ieyasu really did have one defeat.

First, it should be 'Ieyasu is a patient guy, while Dong Zhuo looks impatient.' Second, Ieyasu was, indeed, patient as he seemingly waited for Nobunaga and Hideyoshi to step down and stepped up to finally unify Japan and be the Partriarch of a long reigning clan of Shogunate. Third, Dong Zhuo really does look impatient in-game, but judging from his military careers, he must have been a patient dude as well, since military strategies and tactics require patience aside of intelligence.

Again, it should be 'Dong Zhuo is a tyrant' or 'Dong Zhuo is tyrannical.' Also, I have yet to find a record saying that Ieyasu was down to earth for him to suffer for his people. But he must have been charismatic enough if his people would die for him, and his retainers to be that loyal to him that some of them even served for decades. As for Dong Zhuo, he really was a tyrant, and to make matters worse, he was not even the Emperor. He controlled the Emperor. Just imagine how much cruel he would've been should he become the Emperor.

Man, oh, man. I can hardly believe how grammatically ignorant I was. Anyway, Ieyasu had not only Tadakatsu Honda, but also Yasumasa Sakakibara and Tadatsugu Sakai. Kazumasa Ishikawa was the only one I could think of who kinda betrayed Ieyasu. Then again, Ieyasu managed to make some of his former enemies into loyal retainers like Naomasa Ii of Takeda, Kagekatsu Uesugi of Uesugi, Kanetsugu Naoe of Uesugi, Masanori Fukushima of Hashiba/Toyotomi, Kiyomasa Katō of Hashiba/Toyotomi, and Takatora Todō of Azai and Toyotomi, though the latter 3 sided with Ieyasu mostly because they had personal issues with Mitsunari Ishida. Nobuyuki doesn't count because Tokugawa and Sanada weren't enemies when Nobuyuki married Ina, but Nobuyuki (and Ina) was also one of Ieyasu's loyal retainers. All these names were capable retainers of Tokugawa. Dong Zhuo had powerful forces which was practically unstoppable, but he was eventually betrayed and killed by Lü Bu, and Wang Yun also played the part in this betrayal. By the way, there is no Diao Chan in 3 Kingdoms history, she was a fictional character. Also, I would love to write about what I think of Lü Bu and Tadakatsu Honda.

Still think they do, even with all the shits they'd done historically. Maybe not his wisdom, nor his strength, nor his leadership, but Ieyasu Tokugawa's patience was what made him a historical figure he was today, and I find it awesome. As for Dong Zhuo, he was actually an awesome military general before he became a tyrant. They really made their names written in history.

It's so sad, Yukimura is one of the most respectful warriors of all time. Died honorably. I watched three of them and all makes sense... I cried...

they make this sound as if they were the married couple and not Ina and Nobuyuki.
Nobuyuki is now in. Ina has her hubby and SW4 seems to be playing up how Yukimura and Nobuyuki ended up having to fight each other through Masayuki's plan to save the Sanada clan.

Yukimura actually survived the battle at Osaka Castle, however it would another several days before Tokugawa's forces would eventually kill him. Komatsuhime (Ina) wasn't a commander of her clan (as women back in those days weren't given the honor to lead troops in battle). Tokugawa was correct about the peace being protected, becaus eventually his grandson Iemitsu would put down the christian rebelion at Shimabara and isolate the country, thus securing Japan's security until the 19th century.
And Yukimura got 3000 kills on Chaos Mode lol

no its the opposite i just research it leysu tomogawa what ever its spelled became the ruler of japan for 250 years its in a documentary after the samurai warriors in the 15th century was over

Nobuyuki would have red and blue armor and would be Yukimura's rival. He'd probably have a katana or something like that an would have a confrontation against Yukimura at Osaka Castle and Ueda. That would be pretty beast

Call me crazy but there was so much sexual tension between Yukimura and Ina. Even though she married his brother, she always felt something for him. I mean, he was the greatest warrior of Japan and such daddy material too

- It's Yukimura's dad that made the mistake of joining Ishida, and bringing Yukimura with him.
I mean, after what happened to Gracia (Ishida's fault), most daimyô decided this was not the kind of man they wanted to affiliate themselves with. Masayuki should have had the whole Sanada clan join the Tokugawa.

Matthew Robertson - The Tokugawa side was stronger, and had the most support. (Ishida continued to upset his own commanders, specifically the Môri and the Shimazu. The Môri didn't move at Sekigahara, and the Shimazu retreated without attacking. Plus the defection of Kobayakawa).
I'm not saying he's an idiot for having made the decision he made, but supporting Ishida was certainly a mistake. That might be because Masayuki wasn't too fond of Tokugawa (and it's also true that Yukimura had married a daughter of Yoshitsugu Otani), in the end.
But given the situation at the time, the best he could have done was join the Tokugawa.
MarianoRyu you do have a point it would be a smart decision but I am glad that they stayed loyal to the Toyotomi clan and I don't think Ieyasu was much better than Ishida ether
+Matthew Robertson Historically, he took over and betrayed the Toyotomi retainers that had sided with him, Ieyasu was a dick head who screwed over his own allies. Probably the reason why Masayuki couldn't stand him
there is many reason why masayuki joined the west that is one of them but my two reasons I believe in are masayuki wanted more power so he could spread fame off the sanada or the one I said before since in war anything could happen

Well, he's no Zhao Yun (see Opening of Dynasty Warriors 5), but about close enough in that time.
Such a shame the English version kept it mostly hidden that Yukimura and Ina are Siblings in Law and that she's married to Nobuyuki and not Yukimura's love interest.

OK....I understand that but Iemitsu's isolation country would tormented the people(I mean, local can't got out of the country while the foreigners are unwelcome into Japan and such. And yes your were right that the Shogunate meet it's downfall in Meiji Era or Showa Era?
If you were controlling sanada, there was no way in hell he would died. Those soldiers woulda been cannon fodder like the other thousands of soldiers you defeated.
It is better if they put Nobuyuki in the game, and the ending of Yukimura is he was been slain by his brother.... hahaha

Nah, Nobushige died in the wider battle of Osaka but not in the Osaka castle fight, he was killed leading the defence outside.

Ieyasu is a scoundrel! I dislike him and I always will... He thought of Yukimura and Hideyoshi while burning Hideyoshi's castle down. Yukimura is a good person who's nice to everyone. Ieyasu doesn't deserve his kindness. Obviously Mitsunari's always going to hate him too. That's actually one of the reasons I love Mitsunari so much... XD

what did you thought of this?? This Samurai Warriors doesn;t go along with history. Although, it's fictionalized, the story are not more in history you know?? Lord Yukimura and Nobushige Takeda has the same character?? Yukimura is not a lord of Takeda, a general usually. Although, he has the same name of Nobushige Takeda.
Yukimura also shares the characteristic of his brother. And now, he is a three person. Nobushige Takeda, the son of Shingen, Nobushige Sanada, now, Nobuyuki Sanada also. fuck!
