The coal comes from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. It goes to the Roberts Bank coal terminal in Vancouver, BC. From there it is shipped to Asia (primarily China) where it provides power to make stuff that is sent back here for us to buy. If the lead locos were CN units instead of BNSF, then it would be going to the Price Rupert, BC coal terminal, where it also would head to China.
nice video..i lived in olympia many years ago.i wouls go to oly. station & rail fan..then i found a great spot to rail fan, i don't remember where all i can remember is the apple orchard..thanks for sharing binny...bnsf6951

Yeah, I was on full telephoto which really exaggerates the sharpness of the curve. Makes for a cool shot, though.
