    I only see dirty socks

It sounds gritty because your amp is too clean. Try setting it to the point of breakup over 6 of the amp volume (you may need an attenuator) or using an overdrive between the fuzz and the amp.

Depends on what you're after. I use my Chase Tone red Fuzz Fella into a clean amp, and it sounds *great*. It's all totally subjective and a matter of what you like and what you want a fuzz to do. I want a fuzz to clean up pretty heavily, and an amp that is breaking up won't do that for me. There are a lot of people who use an amp clean as a pedal platform.

@@augustusbetucius2931 I know what you mean. I took the risk of explaining him that in case he didnt knew it, so he could avoid bullying in the future, as one stupid done. By the way I can obtain real clean and glassy tones with my fuzz while my amp is boosted and has a little clear overdrive. Most fuzzes cant do that, so it took me a while to find one.

@@leonardo.rafael I suppose it depends on how we define clean. I was a jazz snob in my early years, then played a ton of country gigs for decades. I don't want to hear *any* break up at all. From guitar to speaker my rig is put together to eliminate all breakup other than the normal THD that is inherent. But I'm not looking for fuzz to give a Hendrix sound, but instead Gilmour. Who also used his amps for squeaky cleans (Hiwatts after all...). Whether it's Echoes, Time or Money, a well made fuzz face clone or facsimile will do that with a dead clean amp.

Cool pedal, but holy cow are they expensive. I don't understand why. It's more than an Analog Man, Fulltone (when they were still in production) and Chase Tone. There are so many good Fuzz Face style fuzzes that let you control many aspects of the sound, and for under 200.00. The only thing this pedal has that most don't is the Ge/Si selector. But that's so easy to wire up, it doesn't warrant 150.00 or more on the price tag. There are plenty of Ge transistors around that can be used without warranting that sort of price.

I think this pedal is expensive too haha.
And then, I love fulltone fuzz!

It would be useful for many of us if you post some videos comparing tones and clean up in those fuzzes vs this one, which I dont find expensive. I have searched a lot to find one with this tone and clean up, even those boutique with NOS around US $1000. Or you can show us your DIY fuzzes 🤷🏽‍♂️. Come on,

@@leonardo.rafael When I have others, I may do just that. Right now I have only the Chase Tone. I have the JRR Gesi Face arriving Monday. Later this summer I'll be getting the Dunlop mini germanium, and later still, I'll get the Chase BC108 or 109. So until I have all four, I'll have to wait. I do have a RUclips guitar channel that is about to go live (not under this user name) and will do some limited gear reviews. I'll do a fuzz face comparison when I have at least four to compare.

And a vox amp is not going to take a fuzz like a fender or similar
