It got a lot of publicity in Russia to the point there was a singing group accusing Igor of plagiarizing another existing song. It was because how Igor sang it while still creating it, it did resemble the old song. A renowned musicologist heard both songs melody and laughed at the accusations declaring that once the great Dimash got it into his creative hands it was not going to sound anything like the simple tune Igor or the accusers were singing. When this premiere was televised it of course was so original and like nothing anyone had heard before. Dimash and Igor work together in partnership but Dimash creates a unique product that no one can deny its originality. By the way, it was just announced Dimash will be attending the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles next year for a one year internship to study Directing. Hopefully he will be performing in the USA during this time.

He would be the equivalent of a David Foster as an example. Dimash with his phenomenal talent is a huge fan and thrilled to have his Igor’s guidance. Dimash performed in NY 2019 for a birthday celebration tour plus many famous European artists in honour of Igor Krotoy birthday. It was terrific, all the songs were in Russian and many composed by Krotuy. I loved the audience singing along to some of the popular songs by famous artists. We in the West are unfortunate to not being exposed to many worldwide extraordinary talents. Igor Krutoy is definitely not just the pianist. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Dimash just released 3 videos of his concert in Almaty this concert is a work of art!!!! beautiful, amazing, incredable. The camera gets so close to him and the video quality is cinematic. His live concert version of " The story of one sky " I really can't describe it ,he literally crumples to the stage in exhaustion and emotion.

I learned that he is heading to New York for a one-year internship program under the Bolashaq international scholarship established by the former president of Kazakhstan. I do not know how he manages his time if he is currently enrolled in a PhD program, I can only guess that he will do it via distant learning or take a leave of absence from his school, unless it his university in his Kazakhstan which sent him to New York. Anyway, he is hardworking, he managed to travel 72 times in a month going back and forth to China-Russia-Kazakhstan to perform on different stages, he can manage things around him. It seems that Dimash's family and their close friends in the arts in Kazakhstan have ensured he had everything he needed to flourish and that they have great expectations for him not only as an artist but as a representative of a modern Muslim and of Kazakhstan itself. I don't believe that this plan allows for casual dating. He has said that when he marries, it is most important that his wife is compatible & loves his family since they will live in the communal family home and she will not tour with him. Dimash recently spoke at a middle eastern conference in Turkey about peace. There is a RUclips video of this speech. While he never says "Russia" he does condemn invasion of countries. He condems leaders not the citizens. Given that Kazakhstan's President is still very close to Putin, this statement takes guts. Back in early 2023, a large segment of Kazakhstan's population protested their Government. The Kazakhstan President called on Russia to help contain the protest. Dimash spoke out for the people and his social media was shut down. No explanation was given. I say all of this because Dimash taking a position cannot be equated with say John Legend doing it.
