Great to see you finally got down here to make this. Fun fact: the pub that's now missing and is flats was originally called The Black Squirrel. It pulled its last pint around 14 years ago, it was then a Mexican restaurant, the globe bar and brassiere & then finally a Thai restaurant (when the film was filmed there). Extra fun fact: Black Squirrels are native to Letchworth having been first spotted in 1912. (The hotel/b&b was also located in letchworth but is actually a house. :) Good job GBM x
I used toy watch them film this in the middle of the night when I walked my dog after evening shifts...nice people let me watch and asked me about my dogs.
I live in Welwyn and can say you didn’t give the doctors tonic near enough coverage for the amount of gigs and bands that have played there!!!! Why just show the front and not the history?!? O’Neills that turned into the parkway and now the Turkish is iconic I just feel as someone who’s grow up here you could of done more with travelling so far lads
This was awesome! Great idea, I really enjoy all the films from the Cornetto trilogy, so this was great to see, I can't believe that was the first roundabout made in the UK that is so cool.
They are spread across two towns. So we drove between the towns, but walked to the pubs once we were there. It was a fun way to spend a day. I’ve got the Hot Fuzz locations on my channel aswell. Incase you missed it.
Just tell me one thing - I just love the scene where Gary and the boys go to the first pub to the music of Suede ("So young") and see the five teenagers going opposite them in the same formation. Is that location also in Letchworth?
@@GingerBeardMark Just one more question that popped up after I asked the first one and got the message - did the pub that played King's head have the portrait / pub sign? I think that Simon Pegg or Edgar Wright told in some intervies that the pub wanted to keep the sign and change name but I'm not sure...
"If you want to do the Golden Mile in 'The World's End' for real, this video is a good place to start...!" -Edgar Wright
Planning on doing it in a couple o’ year when this covid shite is over
bro that opening hypnotised me into subscribing there was no stopping it
Showing this to my 8 and 7 year old has blown their minds lol I'm born and bread Letchworth BTW
Great Video, fun to see the locations.
I would consider this as a vacation idea.
The Sunday Wanders theme tune has been stuck in my head for about 3 years
Thats the wonderful Benjamin Thomas Holton's work. He made me a real earworm.
@@GingerBeardMark it is a banger

I live just down the road from it. they ended up destroying the signs, curb and the hedges.
I’d love to do this after lockdown are the pubs relatively close of walking distance ? LETS BOO BOO !

@@GingerBeardMark thanks so much ! Can’t wait to go, are the pubs the same inside at all ? And close to THE roundabout !

That ramp that they walk up is in Welwyn Garden City, I think. We were gonna film it but were running out of sun light, so moved on to Letchworth.

@@katarzynaw4664 We didn't go inside, So they may well have the sign inside. But it was still called The Arena Tavern.
@@GingerBeardMark Thank you very much for answering my questions! Love the recreation of the movie scenes in the video ;)
@Video Game Basement So the ramp does not exist any more or was placed just for the movie?
I love letchworth, cool video
You left out pub #13, The Rising Sun. Great video though.
Luke is certainly a blank
Tell me about it!
