  • In this video we will learn how to anchor images to page, to paragraph, to character and as character.
NOTE: in the recent releases the option to anchor to page is not so easy to acces because it is not a normal way of anchoring images. But you still can acces it with right click - Position and Size - Anchor - To Page. Why it has been removed? Because when someone change the page size everything will be wrong.

I need to know how to add TWO images side by side and still be able to type below them. Text boxes seem very hard to use this way but help.

The simplest way, I tried like now, is to insert a table with 2 columns and 2 rows, and merge the columns from the second row, and drag and drop the images into the cells from the first row. This way, the images will move with the text. And the second row is for text you need.

@@LibreOfficestepbystep I cannot see an Insert --> Table in Writer. Lots of other Insertables like, Table of Contents and Charts etc. But no Insert Table.
      Where might that be ?

      @@LibreOfficestepbystep That works !
I used the TABLE icon on the top tool bar.
There is more than one way to use that so I had to just fill in the 2 column and was able to insert image there. THANK YOU !
I wonder why TABLE does not appear under the INSERT tab ?

It looks like you are learning while recording.

Yes, indeed. I test everything I record before, but sometimes I want to test something live...

Can you quickly move an anchor from one page to another, especially when the pages are far away from each other.

If you change the page Zoom to 20-30% (View -> Zoom) you can drag and drop the image where you need on your visual screen.

If you are using a .odf file should not be a problem like this. If you are using a docx file could be a problem of compatibility with Word. The best way is to fill a bug here and to answer to all of the questions that you receive from volunteers that assist you on this site
