She's incredible in this imo a masterpiece of a film. Fierce and incendiary and absolutely hilarious but also nuanced and truly moving. The ending is one of the best of the year and of any film I've ever seen. Wishing the film and her performance get multiple nods this awards season
I'm from an ex-Soviet country with plenty of visits to strip-clubs (and meeting ups / sneaking outs, after work [well I was a young likable dude back then] ) and she just NAILS IT .... UNBELIEVABLY ACCURATE ... UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMENCE ... also they've gotten the whole atmosphere spot on ... I've never been much into movies certainly not these days (one or two movies in a year and that's maybe) ... but the person who wrote the scenes absolutely nailed it ... if the person who wrote it is the same as the person who directed it, then damn impressive (excuse my lack of technical cinematic jargon) ... and the whole movie is kind of "feels so different" from the rest of the 'as if they all are made in the same factory' US movies out there.
I don't think the film was great, but I thought she was superb. It's very obvious how talented this young lady is, as well as her dedication to her craft.
What accent Mickey is talking about? Does she mean only the lingo/slang and what she calls stripper memes? She is from NYC isn't she (as a foreigner I can't feel any difference unfortunately...)
You probably havent even seen it have you you just watched the trailer. Its been widely praised everyone loves it. If you really have seen it and didnt like it stick it superhero movies then
